It's been absolute chaos outside for the past couple of hours: rain, thunder, lightning, wind, the whole deal. But thankfully, it's died down now, and I can start spinning my tale about my day!
As I stepped outside today to check my mail, I saw both Walker and Astrid out walking. I spoke to Walker, and he talked about how he's been watching home touring shows, and wanted me to come over. I said yes, but was a little disheartened when he wanted to set a time for it. I chose one hour later than the default time, since I had stuff to do.

Astrid pinged me when I started to head toward her, and asked me if I wanted to buy a fishing vest off her. I bought it for the friend points--besides, she wasn't asking much money. I tried it on just to see how it looked. Honestly, not my style, even though I do fish quite a bit in this game. Heading up on my patrol, I saw Savannah with her watering can. Any villager that wants to help me water flowers is OK in my book. She sold me an amp that I honestly didn't need, but I bought it off her just to make her happy. I spoke to her again, and she said how she loves when a plant she's nurtured blooms as a result of hard work. Given all the hard work I've put into watering my flowers lately, they should be the most beautiful stinking flowers in the whole world. I saw that Rosie was home, so I visited her, and she was quite happy to see me. I noticed she had a bare spot in her house by her bathtub, so I may try to mail her something to fill that area. At Re-Tail, I saw that Punchy had put his wide-screen TV up for sale. Unless he's planning on upgrading to a bigger screen, I honestly can't think of any reason to do that. Up by my rose rainbow, I spoke to Apollo, and he wanted some new furniture for his house, so I made a note to check the shops for that reason. I saw there was a camper in town, and I stepped into the tent to find Kidd the goat. He's not a baaa-aad-looking villager, but I probably wouldn't have asked him to move in anyway. Nonetheless, I played a game with him, and managed to score a kiwi stool for free!

On my north beach, Eugene pinged me, and gave me a blue PJ shirt as a gift. After taking care of all my flowers and dig spots that I could find, I headed up to the shops to check what they had today. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that would look that nice in Apollo's house, but I did find a kilt in the Able Sisters that I needed for my catalog. I channeled my inner Braveheart and put it on for a while.

Back in town, Savannah pinged me, and wanted me to deliver something to Eugene that he forgot at her house. I agreed, and headed off to deliver the gift to Eugene. I found him still on the beach, and he opened the gift to find his old caveman tank. A slight bit of Animalia history here: not long after I got Eugene, he changed into a caveman tank, and kept it on for AGES until I mailed him the pleather vest you see him wearing today. To my relief, he did not change into the caveman tank, saying that he'd already bought a replacement, and offered it to me as a free gift. I graciously accepted it, and made a note to remember to find his new caveman tank and burn it.
When 11:30 rolled around, I made my way to Walker's place, and prepared to spend some time with my lazy next-door neighbor. He offered to sell me something, but the only thing I wanted to buy (the salmon) wasn't for sale. As much as he talks about food, I'm surprised he keeps such a darn delicious creature for a pet. Other than the salmon, I wasn't interested in buying anything, so I stuck around for a couple more minutes before heading out the door, telling Walker that his house was awesome.

Astrid pinged me, and asked if I thought she'd been gossiping about me. Of course I do, Astrid; that's what you do. She went on to say how she never says bad stuff, and that I was clearly better than everyone else in town. What does she want from me? Up by Mira's house, I found my little hero rabbit, and she mentioned that she and Lolly wanted to have a get-together, and asked where they should hold it. I suggested the beach, and she thought that was a great idea about where to hold their hot cocoa seminar. Because there's nothing more enthralling than talking about a wintertime drink in the spring...
Speaking of Lolly, I sadly couldn't find her or Al anywhere today. Since she pinged me to leave yesterday and I said no, I can rest easy about her leaving for a while, but need to be on the lookout for my other villagers. Now that Astrid and Eugene are a thing, I'm not entirely sure on whether I'll be letting Astrid go if she ever wants to move now. On one hand, I want those two spots open for new villagers because I like variety in my town, but on the other hand, I don't want to break up a potentially beautiful relationship. I'll give it some thought and decide on what I want to do at a later time. Until then, I'll be back next time with more randomness!
