Wasn't on yesterday, as I was checking on job applications most of the day. But I'm back today, pulling double duty! First off, yesterday:
I exited my house to check my mail yesterday, as I usually do, and found a letter from Eugene. I think it's better to quote the letter here, because it kind of speaks for itself:
"Dear Steven: My heart yearns with every sunset. It's as if the sun and I have broken hearts together. My love was so pure, but now it's over before it ever had a chance to really begin. -The lonely Eugene."
I couldn't help but feel sad at this. It certainly sounds as if Astrid turned him down, or they broke up, or something to that extent. I felt very bad for the poor little guy, so I set out to try and find him. He wasn't in his house, so I checked around it, but he was nowhere around. I made a note to look for him as I did my daily routine of watering flowers and digging up fossils, but sadly, I couldn't find him. I made a mental note to myself to send him a letter telling him if he needs a shoulder, mine is available. :'(
Walker, however, was home, so I stopped in to visit with him a while. He let me know the Fishing Tourney is this Saturday...it seems like just yesterday that we had the last one! I spoke to Lolly, and she asked me to get her a pear. I agreed, and headed to one of the town's pear trees to get her what she wanted. On the way to find one, though, Rosie pinged me, letting me know that she was thinking about moving on the 10th. Fortunately, I twisted her arm and got her to stay in town.

After letting Rosie know she was stuck in Animalia forever, I continued my search for a pear, taking one back to Lolly. I watched her devour it in front of me, and she gave me an elephant shirt as a reward. Back on my mayorly patrol, I discovered that the town's azalea bushes are starting to bloom. They're going to look very nice once they're fully blossomed.

Savannah wanted to trade the amethyst I got from today's fake rock for her No.3 shirt, but I unfortunately had to decline, since that's a terrible trade. Thankfully, she didn't seem to mind that much. After watering my flowers and digging up my fossils for the day, I headed up to the shops to buy some more medicine for Punchy (who is still sick), and check on what they had. T&T had a giant pear for sale...I should have taken this to Lolly instead! You want a pear, huh? How about THIS?!?!?! XD

After a while, I finally saw that Eugene was home, so I stopped in to see him. He tried to put on a brave face by telling me that he enjoyed me visiting him, and even attempted to change the subject by telling me that Gulliver had washed up on shore, but I saw the pain in the eyes behind those sunglasses. He's hurting, and I am going to get to the bottom of this if it's the last thing I do.

Afterwards, I made sure to stop by and give Punchy his medicine, which he was grateful to get. I saw Apollo and Mira today, but they didn't have anything really that interesting to say, and since I have all the Gulliver items already, I just let Gulliver sleep. Sadly, I couldn't find Astrid anywhere...if there's anyone I needed to talk to about the recent goings-on, it's Little Miss Heartbreaker. If this can't be sorted out, maybe this town is better off without her...
Anyhow, that was yesterday. And yesterday's gone. Now to set to work writing up today's events!
