I started up the game this morning about 10AM, only playing for a few minutes since I had to leave for some early-morning errands. I found Joan, who was selling turnips for 100 Bells apiece. I bought 500 of them, and left them by Re-Tail so I won't forget to check prices this week. Hopefully, it turns out similar to last week. Walker pinged me, asking if I liked the ocean or mountains better. I like both places (I live in the mountains, but I used to vacation at the ocean all the time as a little kid), but I leaned toward the ocean with my choice. He then went on to say how seawater was too salty to drink, and the mountains had snow, which meant all-you-can-eat snow cones. Walker, you pee on the ground...I'm not sure I'd want to eat any snow-cones you make. I saw Savannah fishing off the cliff, and she said she was ready to reel in a big one. Can you even catch fish off the cliff? I've never tried it except in waterfalls... Punchy pinged me nearby, and he said he wanted a piece of fruit. I headed to the nearest fruit tree and shook him down a mango, which he seemed to really enjoy. As thanks, he gave me a red-grid tee.
After coming back to the game, I saw Lolly was home, so I dropped in...only to find my poor little baby sick! She was so delirious, she thought I was Punchy!

I quickly headed up to Main Street to grab some medicine, and deliver back down to her. She thanked me for taking care of her, and I really hope to see her well again in 3 days. After leaving Lolly so she could get some rest, I saw Mira in the plaza, who wanted me to come visit her house. I agreed, since the flowers up around her place were the only ones I had yet to water, and we headed off. On the way, I found my fake rock, which contained a gold nugget! Once we got there, I was so happy to see she'd put out the astro TV I'd mailed her. It's my goal to have her house in all astro stuff, plus her spherical radar. As I talked to her, she said she always seems to have more furniture every time she moves. If I have anything to say about it, she won't have that problem ever again, because she's staying right here in Animalia for good. She talked about how you could pick up dust from carpet using tape...has she never heard of a vacuum cleaner? After talking to her a little more, she brought up the "want to buy something" dialogue. I attempted to buy her stripe chair and the bug off her table, but she wouldn't sell me either one. Looks like I'll be sending her more furniture in attempts to get the riffraff out. I thanked her for a lovely time, and made my exit, telling her that her house looks fantastic.

Yeah, I still need to work on changing her catchphrase...
Speaking of Savannah, I found her by Re-Tail when I was heading down there to sell some things, and she asked me if I knew what she was thinking of at that moment. The choices were socks and gloves, and I chose socks for the heck of it. She then proceeded to tell me of the time she was visiting Eugene, took off her shoes, noticed a hole in her sock, and hopped around on one foot so he wouldn't notice. OK, two things: #1, NONE of the animals in this game wear socks or shoes! She's clearly delirious. #2: why was Savannah visiting Eugene?! I'm going to assume it was just a friendly visit, but I'll be keeping an eye on her...
I then turned the game off again to fix some dinner, and came back later on to see if I could find my other villagers. I found Apollo by the illuminated tree, and he gave me a gray tank for being such a great friend. Many thanks, my cranky pal! He also brought up Weeding Day when I talked to him again, which can't come fast enough, IMO. Eugene pinged me by his house, asking if I thought he'd like red or yellow flowers best. I picked right in the middle of the bar, and he said orange was a good color, but there are different shades, like...salmon. But I always thought salmon was pink?
Back at my east bridge, I found Astrid, and chatted with her a bit. She wanted to buy the gold nugget I'd gotten from my fake rock today, and even though I wanted to save it for Cyrus, I at least heard her offer. She offered me 6,200 bells for it! Even though I still thought I should save it, I figured that was probably more than I'd get for it by selling it at Re-Tail, so I agreed to let her have it. Besides, Cyrus would probably have made me furniture I already had anyway... My final villager I had yet to talk to today (besides you-know-who) was Rosie, and luckily, I saw she was home, so I stopped in to visit. She was very happy to see me, and I was very pleased to see she'd put out the lovely armoire I'd sent to her. One more lovely or polka-dot item in the far right corner should make her place complete, unless I can get that bathtub out of her house. Checking her dresser, I found a gas pump (?), which she graciously let me have. None of these animals drive cars! What do they need gasoline for? Still, I was thankful for my free gift.

To finish today, here are the final two places I'd possibly like to have my police station. First, there's here, up by the campsite and to the left of the train station. I'd have to demolish the camping cot to make this work, but I think it might look pretty nice here.

And finally, there's here, right behind my picnic blanket and to the northwest of Rosie's house. I'd need to reroute a few paths back here, but nothing totally major that I couldn't make it happen.

And that's it for today! Let me know what your feelings are about my police station sites, and the winner will be immortalized forever in my town.
I'll be back tomorrow with another day in the life of a human mayor living in a town full of talking animals!
