Animated avatar not working

How big is the avatar you're trying to use?
If it's not 100x100 pixels or less, the image gets resized and the animation doesn't work.
But, since you said it isn't outright letting you use/upload one, then that probably isn't the issue at hand here. Have you tried uploading something else?
They might re-implement this, but because there was a re-haul to the website, they may have removed the feature entirely. Lets wait a week or two to let the Devs work it out.
worst case scenario, they reimburse us the TBT.
What will happen for the people who had it before and it’s not working now? Will their avatar images come back to what was before, or they’ll have to reupload it?
They will have to reupload them, but we should be able to help users on a case-by-case basis if they no longer have the image.
