Hi, I mainly started this thread so I could see if there are people out there with an awesome passion for music! I also partially created it because I'm too proud of my drumset!

Here are some ideas on what to post! :)
What instrument do you play or post a picture of your instrument.
Have you been in any bands?
When did you start playing you instrument?
What genres of music do you play? Do you play all genres or are you focused on one. Like jazz or metal?

That kind of stuff. :)

Personally I play the drums, here's my drumset.

I don't have anough money to buy "good" cymbals, those are just cheap cymbals. Btw this drumset are two sets put into one, not an original double bass drumset.
I've been playing the drums just short of 2 years now, and I'm being considered the "best" drummer in my area, which I'm amazingly proud of! :D
Just another reason for me to post this, is because I got invited to be in a local band! They are known in my local area but not nationwide. I myself have played in two bands, one called Zephyre (Working Title), and another called Asyllex, both play more of a metal sound, but I train jazz, blues and many other genres.

Thank you for reading!
Please post in the comments!

Nice! That's quiet the array of instruments! :D I also played piano, but I remember very little of the songs I learnt. Also another reason I posted this was because, I just got invited to be the drummer of a band in my local area, which I'm f'in excited about! :D

I used to play viola and drums >.<
Lessons got too expensive though

Nice! Lessons where I live are free, if you go to school, like 1 grade to 12 grade. But after that you have to pay. But I personally never went to lessons. Self taught! :D

Wow I don't think I could do that.
I'm currently teaching myself Japanese and I'm failing so bad >.< lmao

Nice! Good luck with teaching yourself japanese, :D I tried learning it myself once, but I ultimately gave up. x(

I play the piano!
Have you been in any bands?
Nope, I'm too shy for that stuff.
When did you start playing you instrument?
When I was about 5 or 6?
What genres of music do you play? Do you play all genres or are you focused on one. Like jazz or metal?
I like to play anime music and classical pieces.

I stopped playing about 2 years ago because I hated that school but I'm going to start again now.

Nice! I have to give credit for how nice you set up the post! :D Also 5 - 6 is really early, you must be quiet good with your instrument!
:)

I just started playing the flute since I am in band haha

mcwhyte11 wants me to buy a Ukulele to play with her :( i absolutely love the idea, but I don't have the money </3

Thank you! I like it when my posts look neat.
I'm not really that good since I was kind of lazy and didn't practice enough! I'll have to catch up now.
I wish I could play in a band like you but unfortunately piano isn't really a band instrument.

Sounds like an epic idea! Ukulele aren't really that expensive so if you want to learn them you can save up for them way easier than for some other instruments.

amen
i know phrases but the kana screw me over and it makes me a wittwe mad
i started like 5 months ago i should at least know the symbols (not kanji ofc)

anyways
What instrument?
Flute, Piano, Recorder (if it even counts lol) and I want to do Trumpet.
Oh, and, my personal favorite, the Kazoo.

Bands?
Other than school? Nope.

When did you start?
oh jeez let's see
Flute - 10
Recorder - 6
Piano - it happened sort of gradually there wasn't one specific moment I can remember being like "I'M LEARNING THIS"

Genre?
Anything I feel like at the moment.

I would say piano is more of a "formal" band instrument mostly being played in big-bands, jazz bands or blues bands.
That's probably why it seems uncommon in the 3 - 5 people bands.

Well dam! I think you can get some Ukulele's for 15/20$, (Calculating off of my own currency) atleast I've heard. If not that, in america I think you could get one for like 5$. Well maybe xD

Yes I think you're right. In my opinion piano is an instrument that is the best for solo playing. It has a lot of potential and you can do a lot of things on it, whereas some instruments are a must have in bands/orcherstras(?) but don't sound very special when played alone.

The drums are actually a really cool instrument! They're more than just hitting the drums a bunch of times, you need rhythm.

I play the bass ^^ Kinda sad considering how short I am...
I'm apart of this group band thing, I'm the lead bass. It's like a mini orchestra without violins. We usually play for hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and places in the community.

Oh and I've been playing since 3rd grade so that would be 6 years

I don't have any special genres though
