Any plans for your town?

I feel like my town will be decorated with no particular style for the whole island. I feel like different areas will represent a different theme, since I have a hard time sticking to one theme.^^; I tend to do this will a couple of my current towns so far. I want to make the most out of that island if we are really limited to one town per switch.

I'm hoping we can change the sky and terrain at some point? If not I'll just have to stick with patterns but Pocket Camp kinda took us on a new adventure with customisation in that aspect and if we can change and decorate our skies and terrain, that would make each island extremely unique! I could finally achieve my Alien dreamscape aesthetic! ‧˚₊*̥(∗︎*⁰͈꒨⁰͈)‧˚₊*̥

No plans since we don't know what's in the game, but my aesthetic tilts towards gothic/victorian and I was frustrated at how few options NL had for that style, especially in PWPs. So I hope we have more fancy old timey options + dark colorways, so I can indulge!

Mine will probably be an all wolf and dog town.
Going to theme it around John Wick.

That's going to be hard without guns. :-/

Don't worry, I think they may have pencils in the game ꒰✩︎’ω`ૢ✩︎꒱

Ehehe, indeed. I think there's a writing set. :D

Surely you'll need one horse villager as well as of Parabellum? Roscoe would be the right colour...!

Of course.

Epona, for street chases. :)

I don't think I will have a theme at first so I can just enjoy playing the game opposed to always searching for certain things! :)

I doubt that they will allow for you to customize your terrain (except for the usual such as planting trees, flowers and bushes manually) as that is part of the feel in tradition animal crossing games of having a set town landscape and working with it (such as new leaf where some towns have a southern, eastern or western facing waterfall, or a mini island next to the waterfall). As for sky customization, could you tell mw what that is since I am not familiar with it? If you mean like changing the sky color or weather, it will most likely not happen as animal crossing weather is supposed to be random like in real life, and sky color is supposed to be realistic. Other than those, though, New Horizons will have plenty of customization which will allow players to create their dream island!

I love reading these. I definitely will wanna do holiday and seasonal decorating. I'll probably wanna tailor the yards to each villager. I always have an orchard in my town. For this game, I'd definitely want a large public garden with benches and trellises. It'd be great if we could get little lights along the pathway. I would prefer a dirt pathway or stepping stone aesthetic rather than something that's more 'built up' like brick. I want it to feel like a breezy island vacation in a tropical paradise. (EDIT: forgot to add, that means I don't think I want gold roses in my game as they don't look very natural.)

I really hope we don't have town ratings based on weeds in this game, because I'm tempted to let them grow wild they're so lovely!

These are examples of changing the sky and terrain.

You can have different themes. Some are more fantasy based and others seasonal or celebration based. It just gives the look of where you reside more of a unique touch that is more about what you like! ✩︎*॰ ( ?̮ ) ॰*✩︎

Thats very pretty and cool! I don't think it will be incorporated into New Horizons Unfortunately since NH is supposed to be more real life/realistic.

Thankies so much! (∩︎?。•o•。`)っ.゚♡︎.゚
I've seen it as a setting that incorporates small realistic themes, but to me, it's more fantasy based to begin with since the only person is your character and the rest are taking animals. You can fit sharks in your pocket along with other giant items.
There are also talking Gyroids, a luck system in place, a place where you can go to have dreams of visiting other people's towns by being put into a dreamlike state by Luna - a tapir who in mythology is called a dream eater.
Now in NH you can not only dig up a whole tree, but you can also fit it in your pocket too!
Then there's Wisp - a ghost, Jack who can disappear etc...
We see these things as normal and realistic in the game now that we forget how very much AC is leaning more towards fantasy and supernatural. Changing the sky would be the next step in customisation and by experimenting with it in Pocket Camp, that to me, says that the AC team are exploring every area of customisation. So although it may only be available through DLC, I think it could really be a possibility in NH (○︎-艸・)*:゚・☆︎

I had that leafy terrain in PC.
That's one feature I did like.
Also the sakura foreground looked good.

I'd love it if those features made it to New Horizons.

I'd have to get a feel for the game first. Once I'm able to see my map and its surroundings, the villagers that'll be occupying my island or town, and what kind of decorations I can unlock (i.e. PWP) then I can start planning out the landscape. More than likely, I'll just go with the theme I generally aim for--which is a mixture of classic rpg, nature, a bit of zen, and depending on how much space I have left over and what I can do with that space: a little bit spooky and some tropical theme.

I have no plans at all when i first start, i want to enjoy what the game offers, though i'll probably have an idea later down the road

Hmm... I haven't really thought about it but I guess I'll start off with a natural town. I hope that perhaps we can have something like a light house or observatory to have some astrology themed buildings. If we're on an island, then the stars should be clear! Hoping we can do constellations again (I am not up to date on any ACNH announcements at all. Please surprise me XD).

I'd love to have some constellation structures, or if we can build a small town... a small quaint town with an ocean breeze passing through. Air wafting the soft scent of flowers.

Nothing too specific. Just some place that I think I'd enjoy living in.

Hoping to do some pastel and pink/purple/blue for the majority of the year. PC introduced a lot of great items for that sort of theme so I'm hoping so hard the PC items make it into New Horizons.

However, whenever a holiday comes out I'll put away my pastels and go all out 100% on the holiday decorating for it, especially the colder season's holidays. I live somewhere that doesn't get snow at all (cold weather, just not cold enough for snow), and therefore our holidays are always sweltering and we don't spend a lot of time outside for them or decorate much.
