amiibo Festival Anyone else just interested in the Amiibo figures alone?

Hi guys! New poster here (go easy on me).

I've loved AC since Wide World on the DS, and have been religiously playing NL since July 2013.
I'm extremely excited for Happy Home Designer, I think it looks great. And if I'm honest, it's not the worst thing in the world Nintendo could have given us while we patiently wait for a new AC on the 3DS and/or WiiU.
However... the same can't be said for Amiibo Festival. Like a lot of you, I was severely disappointed in seeing this game trailer (as dramatically re-enacted in my YouTube video below).

BUT, I am still considering getting it. Mainly because I am majorly into figurine and game collecting, and these Animal Crossing Amiibos are my idea of heaven. P.S, they look AMAZING so far.

Anyone else in the same boat as me?

I'm slightly interested in the game (want to give it a fair chance after all and we haven't seen its price or all of its gameplay) but I am definitely more interested in the amiibo figures than the game. Like you, I am much more excited for Happy Home Designer than amiibo festival!
Hopefully the amiibo functionality will be quite good as well as the game. Then I would be more interested in getting it.

I'm totally with you, I feel like I've not seen enough to make a proper decision on Amiibo Festival... however I won't be getting my hopes up much.
I can already picture my AC Amiibos lined up on my shelves

I totally agree with ypu.
This game looks like its taking away the whole aspect of AC.
If they want to do this, they might aswell just set up a AC board for DLC on mario party 10.

Personally, I'm actually intrigued by the game. What we saw at E3 clearly wasn't the core of the game, and it's already rumored to have online multiplayer and more game modes that Nintendo wasn't allowed to show.
I'm a lot more intersted in the amiibo figurines themselves though =P

Depends if they only sell them with the game- ie like the Squid amiibo in a 3-pack, or by themselves. Either way, I'm totally getting them, I have the game reserved at GameStop, and will pick that up on day one. It's Animal Crossing- something, so I'm getting it!! Yes, I did the same thing with the clock and calculator on the DSi, then later on the 3DS, so don't judge me, I totally love Animal Crossing!!

Yeah I only really want the amiibo figures for the game. I hope that I'll be able to get them all when they are released. Although I heard that the game itself is going to be free and that you just have to buy one of the amiibo to play the game. If the game is free I might as well get it. I really want the Mabel, Tom nook, digby, Isabelle, and kk slider. That's gonna be a lot of money though haha.

I wasn't excited about HHD until they released more gameplay so I'm waiting to give amiibo festival a chance before I write it off... Definitely want the amiibos though!! They look ADORABLE!
