Anyone else super upset about the furniture situation? (Love the game, hate to complain!)

Another thing that I don't understand about furniture in this game is that Timmy and Tommy are selling it for so much money. Like this isn't Gracie furniture, it's just basic everyday stuff.

I do miss some furniture sets, what I really want though is the ability to customize anything and not have to trade for the color I want.

Absolutely agreed. I know they'll roll out more, but it feels REALLY strange how some of the more non-seasonal stuff that has already existed in previous versions are being released so far out from release

I agree, OP. It seems to me that they sorta “bundled” a bunch of the old sets into customization options. Like, the green set and the blue set are now part of the wooden DIY set, the kiddie, pastel and modern wood sets are part of the wooden block set. For the most part I think that approach works okay. But only okay. Each of those sets, like them or not, had things that made them distinct and now that’s gone. They sacrificed individual character for versatility.

Same with the Antique set, which seems to be trying to cover the Ranch (natural), Classic (dark brown) and Rococo (black) set through color variants. I love the Antique set, don’t get me wrong, but I prefer the separate and very different sets.

Also, where’s my Alpine set? The adorable textiles Sable gives you when she’s befriended would be amazing customization options for that set!

i love love love this game of course, but i agree, i'm also feeling a little disappointed about the furniture. i'm very optimistic that more and more will be added in, but especially when i see some of the things pocket camp is getting (i remember there was a post here around when new horizons came out, wondering if we'd see any of the INSANELY cute new pocket camp furniture would make its way to new horizons), i get very jealous
really looking forward to future updates! please, nintendo! give us more furniture!

Yep. Limited. Too much wooden stuff and the items that aren't crafted are not pleasing to the eye.

It feels like they put more effort into the crafted items.

I don't like that regular items have color variations that you need to trade for.

Give us decent items, not the same items in 50 shades of wood.

Also, put at least, as much effort into NH items as you did with that mobile phone game. :-/

The furniture situation is so unfortunate! I have a fully-expanded house, but two of the rooms are completely empty because I literally don't have enough furniture I like to fill them up. They have so many gorgeous wallpapers and floors, but then nothing to put in the rooms that really goes with them! I wanted to make navy blue and white bedroom to go with the starry night sky and cloud floor, but it's impossible because there isn't enough navy or white furniture...

Unlike many people, I really don't expect them to add much furniture in future updates. The guide already being out, the villagers already having all their houses fully-decorated... I think they're largely done with furniture creation, and we can probably only expect a few event-related items here and there unless they decide to bring back something like the campground and another similarly MASSIVE update in a few years (which I think is unlikely, TBH).

I cant believe one of maybe? Dozen or so ~complete furniture sets there is, is the cardboard set. Literally what. Like it's.. cute? I guess?? But I'd MUCH rather something else

As much as I love New Horizons, I agree that the furniture sets seem to be lacking. When I look to decorate my house with new things I have no idea of what to decorate it with, as I would love to use a particular set for some things like the Sweets set but that's nowhere to be found .

I hope that they roll it out through updates like they did with NPCs and events but for now that lacks, I await the day the Cute set (what seems to be New Horizons' Lovely series) variant I'm looking for pops up in my Nook's soon!

considering the amount of content that's in pocket camp, a free game, feels like they're slacking on the amount we CAN have in new horizons. some of the pocket camp furniture and clothing is adorable and we're left with 10 different wooden sets ;~;

I wouldn't say I'm /super/ upset. But I do wish we had more items, right now I feel very limited when decorating my house.

Honestly, I think the game as it is is incomplete. I understand the want to increase the hype around the game, but as far as we know, there is no guarantee that old furniture sets (or features in general) will ever be re-implemented back into the game.

No alpine set. No regal set. No rococo set. No Gracie Grace furniture whatsoever. Super disappointing.
