Anyone else super upset about the furniture situation? (Love the game, hate to complain!)

It feels they focused on the tiny furniture without adding a lot of furniture sets.

I'm running into a problem with my house where I'm like "Oh, I'll finish a room once I find a furniture set I like" but so far I"m coming up empty handed. I hope to get all the HHA rewards while loving my rooms but I just can't. I eagerly await Gracie Grace and her sass

I really dislike how much furniture they removed. I really wanted the Greek columns, Roccoco set, and harpsichord in particular, and had assumed they were definitely coming because AC has never been a series where we lose a lot of furniture. =/ Harpsichord is my favorite keyboard instrument, I'm sad it's gone.

I'm also really frustrated with all of the furniture that works perfectly outdoors that was removed from this game, too. I bet I could open up HHD and find all kinds of neat outdoorsy stuff that is missing. It makes no sense.

I love the game, and I hope they fix this. I don't know what the chances are, though.

Yeah I agree, it really feels like there isn't much furniture. I imagine they will add more in updates, so I hope we get some new stuff soon. I'd like to see some old sets return as well. I also really miss the Nintendo items from New Leaf! Those were so much fun to collect & trade in the early days of New Leaf. It would be a lot of fun to have little Nintendo "easter eggs" or themed areas around your island.

I really want to enjoy the game, but yes, this furniture problem is somewhat turning the enjoyment of playing into a waiting period of sorts. I loved some of the unique items in NL like the crane ufo catcher item, music boxes, etc. And I would really like the red shrine gate (not the stonehenge one) that is even in pocket camp:cry:

these new sets are kinda not my type, like the rattan set, the antique set, the diner set and some of the wood stuff, but hey i love most of the cute, set and some of the others might grow on me with time and use!! I liked that dotted set in NL that you can change its colors if you used stones, and that striped one wasnt bad either, if you used the other color options.

Definitely agree. I feel like there's a significant lack of bigger furniture items like tables. Pretty sure we'll get more stuff eventually, especially considering there are Modern Wood wall and floor DIYs and a Sloppy Rug so that feels like an indicator for those specific sets to come back. Plus the fact that new furniture was added into NL after release as well. I just hope an update with more items comes soon.

I think we'll see another shop upgrade, Gracie has been a staple of the shopping scene since City Folk. I get that this is an island, but I feel like if you have a 5 star island, a high-end shop for tourists would be sensible.

But in terms of lost furniture series, I have quite some doubts that we'll see those make a return, as much as I miss the alpine series. I'm just not able to think of an appropriate way to reintroduce them without it feeling forced.

I do hope that we get more furniture back through updates as the year goes on. I think others may have the right idea that Nintendo was going for a deliberate "deserted island that no one is shipping high-end furniture to" feel.

Some of the removals are kinda odd to me though. Like, one of the "staple" themes since the original Animal Crossing has been - for whatever reason - the Construction theme. Because who doesn't want a steamroller idling in their living room? Now that we can put things outside, though, a lot of those items are gone (some of them came back like the manhole cover and iron frame, but others are gone). I was thinking the other day that an area of my island is in desperate need of a sawhorse. I have iron frames there now, but it's not the same. And how cute would it be on urban islands to use construction equipment to block off where you don't want people going instead of fences?

I realllly liked the sloppy set and the mermaid set and hoped it would make a come back but I doubt it! I hope that new furniture will be coming in future updates because right now, I feel like everyones home (villagers along with other players) look the same.

I agree! All three of my spare rooms are still empty because there are no nice furniture sets to furnish them with. I miss the princess set! I also find it strange that they didn't include more furniture since we're able to place things outside now.

Yep. Limited. Too much wooden stuff and the items that aren't crafted are not pleasing to the eye.

It feels like they put more effort into the crafted items.

I don't like that regular items have color variations that you need to trade for.

Give us decent items, not the same items in 50 shades of wood.

Also, put at least, as much effort into NH items as you did with that mobile phone game. :-/

That “50 shades of wood” line made me laugh out loud 😆

Oh. My. Gosh. This was EXACTLY what I was thinking while playing ACNH. There were SO many good furniture pieces in NL, that I was hoping they’d transfer all that over and then ADD ON to it. Finding out that the list is really limited has made it harder to decorate, especially with low tables (there were lots of low table options in NL).

Also, is anyone else extra frustrated by the lack of FOOD furniture items? There’s literally 5-10 items in NH that could be considered food or drink items, and I remember there being a plethora of them in NL. I’ve been so annoyed not having all these options like before, which, yes, sounds super privileged and whiny, but I was spoiled by NL Amiibo. T_T
