Anyone making holiday market areas?

My favourite part of the holiday season is going around the various christmas markets in my local area and see what they have set up! Obviously we can't do that this year so I'm creating one on my island instead - is anyone else doing an area similar to this?

tbh i haven't done any decorating for christmas, however i think my sister made a christmas market
i visited her island the other day and i saw loads of stalls on her island with the new toy items and they were all in a massive town-like area infront of the town hall
it's hard to explain but it looked pretty cool, unfortunately i don't have any pictures

Not necessarily a market area but I have more like a town cebter with a espresso stand set up along with a big Christmas tree and some holiday candles.

Aw thats cute! I'm actually still in November cos I took a really long hiatus from the game but I'm trying to prep my area ahead of time

Still wip- I planned to have a Japanese festival here all year-round but having a christmas one was very appealing baha

It's not a market, I've basically got one already near the Nook's Cranny, but I've set up an Ice Bar near the Party Beach using the Frozen Counter. I just need a black Mini Fridge and a Frozen Treat set to finish it. I might add Christmas Toys to the Market though. they might look better than what's already there.

I haven't yet built it but I'm thinking of building a couple of stalls near where I'm (attempting to) build all my snowboys. although I am waiting on getting some more festive DIYs before actually building it so I can add to the christmasy vibes!

I've been thinking about it, but my whole island is currently under construction and Christmas is in a week... oops. Plus, I wanted to collect all the winter recipes first, since I definitely need a big festive tree for that. Maybe I'll do it, anyway, since I think winter IRL would be better if the Christmas markets stayed up until February and were winter markets instead.

I don't know if this counts but... I made a cut your own Christmas tree lot with axes for sale and different sizes of trees to choose from. There's a stall there run by a raccoon figure I like to think of as Nook's long lost brother "Niik" (the Timmy to Nook's Tommy if you will)...

I kinda ran out of space for a nice big market like you all seem to have... Im very jealous, but still pretty pleased with my one-raccoon/stall/mini-market...

Very cute!!! And a lot bigger than mine haha, I'm working with limited space. Maybe to make the shed buildings you could use panels to give the illusion of walls?

OMG this is such a good idea! I have a marketplace but the items for display are mostly just food items and some plants. Adding the toys would be wonderful! I will incorporate this

It can be fun. I agree. I kind of usually decorate around resident survives seasonaly and for special events.

I don’t have a market but have dressed up my “shopping area” with holiday decorations and made it festive.

I will! Just need to get some of the christmas items before its fully "complete" but when its done I'll 100% share it

I added a cute, festive coffee stall. Put up a sign that says " big bear coffee". I added a giant teddy bear next to it, and customized his bow to look festive. I've done a lot of Christmas and winter decorating, but not much as far as shopping goes. I've visited a couple of dream towns that had some cute shopping areas.
