Anyone think it's weird for the girl in a relationship to go all out for Valentine's?

this is SO cute, i’m sure your boyfriend loved it/will love it! i’m not one for valentine’s day but even i would love if my boyfriend went all out like this.

Meh. We don't normally celebrate Valentine's Day. It's just the principle of the whole thing. I mean, don't you love your SO every day? Why do you need a special day to celebrate your relationship?

That being said, this past weekend we celebrated it a bit early by making homemade chocolate together. It was an all-day affair to do it because you had to make a layer, refrigerate it, make another layer, refrigerate it... but it's SOOO good.

Romantic gestures are never a bad thing from either party! A girl should be able to treat their SO just as a boy can, it shouldn't all be from one party. My boyfriend and I take turns treating each other, and its always fun surprising each other when we can. I was the one getting spoiled this year, my boyfriend got me three dozen black roses, chocolates, some lipstick and a really cute enamel pin, he took me out to an early dinner and a movie on our days off as well which was awesome. I got him a soft fleece onesie and a magnetic dartboard that he's already obsessed with. So it doesn't matter what you do, or how much you spend, the intention is always appreciated no matter what! I hope you had fun though!

As a gal in a gal x gal ace relationship, I say there's nothing weird about it all.

I know it's a little after Valentine's Day but I don't think there's any reason to be worried about doing something purely because of your gender, a romantic gesture isn't less special just because it comes from a girl.

No if one person in relationship goes all out and the other does jack **** i say thats pretty lame. its about mutuality not one-sided effort. gender doesnt matter
