Anyone watch the Grammys?

I watched it last night, but only because I found out that Gorillaz were nominated for 2 awards (best dance track and best alternative album). I didn't watch the entire thing because of school, but I found out later on TWITTER that they didn't win either of the awards, and I'm so disappointed! They're also nominated for the Brit's best group or something, so I hope they win that. My favorite performance was Bruno Mars and Cardi B performing Finesse, the stage looked awesome!

Anyways, did you watch it? There's a lot of people upset because of what the Grammys President said about women not winning awards, and Ed Sheeran winning best pop vocal album or something, and Alessia Cara winning best new artist.

yeah, that's true. I know a lot of people didn't watch it for this reason

like how Bruno Mars won best record of the year I think, over Logic's 1-800 even though 1-800 has a way better meaning than the song Bruno won for. No hate against Bruno Mars, I just think 1-800 should have won that Grammy :/

I generally find award shows to be ridiculously tedious. Minus the performances of some artists that I actually like and are talented, the events are very dull.

I do congratulate those who won the awards for all the right reasons but it seems to be more about popularity nowadays over the meaning of an artist's work; as a person who creates and tries to create art that is very worrying to me.
