anyone wish they added hijabs, skull caps, and other religious garments to ACNH?

There's currently a petition that has 1,404 signatures so you're definitely not the only one

It's still gathering signatures but considering the one, they actually listened to had well over 55 thousand signatures before they did anything, I doubt this one will be implemented for awhile. I'd love it if they did add it, though. I think everyone should be able to make themselves in this game.

i know they have some alternatives but it would be nice, it took them a while to add hairstyles for the black community but they finally did so i have hope

I think there are too many clothing items, artificially bloating the content already.

We don't have Christian garb, etc. :)

It doesn't bother me really, apart from having more clothing instead of what the game really needs; furniture. :)

I’m worried ACNH including religious stuff will cause controversy. Nintendo is really careful about that.
see in another breath though why make non christians for example celebrate toy day and turbans are in the game so thats where its confusing

It's AC.

It's not a biblical/religious game.

I don't care if they add the items or not!

Well, Religion is taken out of Toy Day. Sure it’s based on Christmas, but there is no religion.

But I guess you have a point with the turbans. I heard that they were originally worn by Muslims.

Just because you don't care if they add the items doesn't mean others wouldn't like to see more of themselves in the game. Even if they did add the items in, you wouldn't be forced to use them.
I literally said I don't care if they add them!

That means, ADD them for those that want them, as it DOESN'T bother me. :)

We have Gulliver's international garb to consider, such as the sombreros, kaffiyehs, tubeteikas, silk hats, turbans and etc. I understand they are not quite there for religious purposes but they represent different cultures so in a way it counts? We can express ourselves with them :) I'm a fan of the geisha wigs, but I'm not Asian! 😁

I think it would be cool, but there would (unfortunately) be backlash. They’ve come a long way by including items from many different cultures, which is awesome, but religious items might rub people the wrong way. I don’t know.

i'd love more clothes from different cultures, that would be so cute and i really want to have more indian clothes in the game
there might be more that i missed, but i have only seen the same sari over and over again :(

also i really hope they will add accessories like earrings and bracelets because i really want a rakhi bracelet for my character 💕
raksha bandhan is my favourite celebration ♡

Personally I wouldn't use the items so they're not at the top of my Wishlist for things to be added (I'm hoping for more furniture sets really) but I do think they should be in the game to represent different cultures and traditions, so that those who do want to have them are given the choice rather then feeling like they're been overlooked.

Unfortunately though I do agree with the suggestion that they won't be added due to the backlash they might receive, as wrong as it is there are still too many people around that would slam the inclusion of religious items/garments and even though it shouldn't affect their gameplay they'll often be the people that shout the loudest about it. Hopefully at some point Nintendo will ignore any controversy they might create and add the items to give the chance for those who want to use them to be able too, but sadly I don't think it will happen anytime soon.
