• Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.

Apparently there will there be bigger changes to trees... (more variety)!?

The only problem with them being furniture as opposed to plants is that they won't be affected by seasonal changes, ie no snow on them in winter. That bonsai tree really stands out in that winter landscape. But oh well, it's still nice to have the variety.

you know what i get this feeling like there is more coming to this update then what was mentioned verbally in the video so if we can really plant palm trees on grass without the sand underneath that would be suuuuuch a nice touch!

That’s pretty interesting that there is more tree varieties or other tree plants to decorate with. I may or may not use them. 🤔

Some of these just look like furniture objects, like the "Japanese style" tree (for lack of a better description lol) - you can tell that it does not have snow on it, so it is furniture. But the cacti and the "African style" tree are harder to tell. I mean, it does look like the cactus can be a furniture object, but the ones in the landscape look like actual plants.

I really don't know what to think of these.

I wish we could have gotten the birch trees they introduced in Pocket Camp.

Not sure if anyone's pointed it out, but the cactus has a raised dirt section that's a slightly different color than the dirt it's placed on. So do the trees.
They're not flora, they're items.

I’m really hoping for the dead trees. It’s ok if they aren’t added, though. Everything else was great. All the items I wanted from previous games look like they are back. The only thing that I still miss is the dead trees.

I think the "new trees" (Cactus, Baobab, etc) are definitely furniture items, you can see at the bases where they don't quite match the ground

I think they're still great though, can finally have different biomes on the island if we want :D

That’s true. I suppose you can alter then accordingly or according to your theme (e.g use bonsai only in summer/spring; cactus/baobabs in desert themed islands).

Changes in the trees...
i did notice some trees were different, but i don't know, and also do not think they are ''bigger'' variants of the trees we already got.
I think, they are a new type of tree to decorate your town with.

What I noticed is that about half of the palm trees shown in the Direkt did not have any fruits on them.

Either they went all the way and added an extra tree without coconuts (that can only be found on the new archipel), or they simply did not want to show the new fruits just yet. For me, the latter seems more plausible...

As everyone said those trees definitely gonna be items, and I really need the Japanese Cedar Tree 🤩

But more than trees I'm very excited for the climbing vines, and above all, the glowing mossy weeds 💚

I think most of these are going to be just furniture items. I recall the cactus being an item in previous games.

I don't know what's up what coconut tree though. Must be something special if you can plant it on grass.
