Are items timelocked backwards now?

@RollingAntony I didn't see your previous post because of how the alert system jumped straight to the one that quoted mine immediately after yours. I didn't realize the way things were being subtly changed with the updates. It sounds like they're handling the items much better in New Horizons than in previous games.

To simplify things, the furthest you can currently time travel backwards to get all the available items and events is August 1, 2020.
