Are non-rare collectibles not able to be showcased?

I'm soo embarrassed to say this! (/ω＼) but... I'm still not sure if there are certain collectibles that aren't able to be showcased in your collections, are collectibles only put in your collection if they're by gift, Or did I make a mistake? btw the collectibles I purchased were the red cosmo and a Bell candy from the new event shop.

all collectibles are able to be shown in your sidebar, go to your inventory (shop tab > inventory on the left) and make sure the "active" box next to the collectible you want to display is checked and the "hidden" one isn't.
