Are there really only two/three buildings to place on the island?

i can see.nintendo locking building behind updates. they might want to avoid people time travelling too much to unlock things. if they release a dream suite pike 2 months into the game after its release, it would encourage people to play. theyre doing it for holidays, so whosays they cant so it for upgrades? perhaps the museum can have art but they still havent implemented redd into the game (perhaps theyre waiting for post easter). one thing that discouraged people from playing NL was running out of things to eo after they TTed to complete the game. perhaps theyre trying to avoid that this time around.

i agree with the above user! i think many things will be added in future updates as well.. nintendo is really against time traveling and you can tell in previous games lol, there are still penalties in here as usual for doing it, but i'm sure if they can add buildings with updates as they go, that would encourage more people to play the game for a longer whiles as well as prevent people from completing everything too soon and left with nothing to do but get bored. i'd like to have everything in game already, well, most things, but if that's how they /might've/ chosen to do things, well.. what can we do? just enjoy what they gave us and what the game has to offer ;U;

You cant know from people who've only played 3 weeks. It took most people 3-4 months to get the Emporium in New Leaf.

I doubt this is true. I have seen a review that even said this game is more slow paced than the other Animal Crossing Games.

the "data leak" from a french forum mentioned tons & tons of more buildings.. a lot were surprising.
that should still be considered a rumor, but. take it with a grain of salt!

Museum, Shop, Campsite, and Able Sisters. That's four. We don't know if there are any more, due to restrictions still in place. Free updates are also a thing.

It seems, to me at least, that a lot of content will be released as updates in the future or is later game enough that we haven't seen it. I doubt that Redd and paintings are gone, yet they haven't been seen. We also haven't seen any expansions to Nook's Cranny yet. Brewster is no where to seen.

Whether we get more buildings or not has yet to be seen, but I'm sure there are expansions and the like we have not seen.

I doubt they removed these features... keep in mind reviewers had the game a short time and it is meant to be played for years.

To be fair....it seems very possible that some features could be time locked. (and these reviewers haven't been playing for that long)

I feel like we're going to have to get a datamine to know for certain what's in the game.

Even if that isn't the case...I'd have a sneaky suspicion that they'll reintroduce a lot of these things through free updates. It's possible they feel more comfortable doing more free updates like that since it's a time based game....and you can't just rush your way towards getting everything really quickly anyway.

Personally I'd be really shocked if they removed the Roost.

I watched that vid and those guys just don't know what they're talking about... He only had his house expanded to the second room, so he's far from "endgame"

Agreed, he knew nothing about AC .... I think he played 80 hours and called that endgame....

Also:
GameXplain newest video on Time Travel mentions how they aren't allowed to show anything beyond march 16th. However, they're still able to play the games, but they're not allowed to say anything.

Perhaps you get the terraforming upgrade once you have some building in place, so that you can start building the island up However, since they're legally not allowed to show anything past 16th, it means that they had limited time of playtime. Nintendo would have played through the game to see how long it takes to get to specific times and then handed out the game for review purposes at a time where the reviews can only discuss certain things.

So, let's say the reviewers had the game for 3 weeks. That seems like plenty of time to unlock able sisters, museum, and nooks cranny. With each building taking roughly 2 days, and ign confirming 10 villagers (with 2 already setting up day 1), that would take at least 22 days in order to complete it, UP TO THIS POINT. Sounds like 3 weeks, right? (just over but shhh). So it's safe to assume that 1. things we see are the things we're ALLOWED to see, and 2. not everything we've been shown is set in stone.

IGN said up to 10 villagers. Could we potentially have more? (seems unlikely since they could have checked with campsites and nook so don't get your hopes up). However what about label? Surely she'll have able's upgrade to include her. Kicks should get a store too or at least an ables expansion. Nook's cranny will surely upgrade to sell more things. Plus, they said some people wouldn't be available launch day (when they showed kk slider amiibo not registering him in) so surely, they will introduce more characters as they go.

This is just me guessing by the way. Or hoping. Either works ^-^;;
