Are there villagers you love, but would never have on your island?

I don't think so. I can't think of any at least. If I have an empty spot on my island and see a villager I love on a Nook Miles island or in my campsite then I'll happily invite them to come live on my island

I would say the Sanrio villagers, I like some of them, but I don’t want to have them in NH since there are other villagers I want.

I think I don't have any that I have any villagers that I love but would never have on my island.

Usually when I have an empty plot, I'll keep checking until I meet one I like. The same happens when I have a villagers in my camp, I visit to see who it is and see whether or not I bother trying to convince them to stay on my island.

There's a lot of villagers I love! so many that its probably impossible to be able to keep all of them lol, so I think its only natural to not keep some as dreamies. I don't think there's any I necessarily have pinpoint reasons why they don't work out, I just either don't vibe with them enough or I vibe with other villagers more

Im also the type of person that likes to have at least one of each personality type for some variety in dialogue, but that often means not getting many of the duplicate personality villagers that I adore (especially all those normals) but even if they're cute I think the repetitive dialogue would drive me crazy, it already drives me crazy when one villager repeats the same things

I would love to have Wolf Link on my island, but for whatever reason, he was not added in acnh unfortunately.

I love Roscoe. I did have him on my island and wanted him to stay permanently before I heard his singing voice. I had him in NL and enjoyed having him much more the . I heard him singing quite frequently. I do think it is adorable when villagers sing but crankies’ singing voice bugs me a little. Or at least it did at the time. That was over a year or so ago. I think now, maybe I wouldn’t mind it as much. Roscoe just doesn’t seem to be the singing type to me, so it just was weird for me to see him singing so often. And the singing voice is awfully high pitched; I thought his would be lower. Now that time has passed, I might considering giving him another chance.

Puddles: I loved her in New Leaf. I did invite her to my campsite and from the dialogue, I feel like with the dialogue change, I don’t vibe with her like I did in New Leaf. I feel similarly with all my peppy favorites; Merry is a permanent villager on my island (at least for now) and even she, I feel like I get different vibes from her, maybe.

That’s all I can think of now. I might reply again if I think of others and when I’m less sleepy lol.

i think maybe genji or perhaps beau. genji unfortunately doesn't fit my aesthetic even tho i like him lots. he would be a shoe in if i ever start a japanese inspired town tho!! and beau also cause he stands out a little too much.
