Are you a killer?

I think I accidentally killed the fiddler crab I got from a school project we did in 7th grade. He was doing fine in the classroom and for some reason he never went up for air in our tank and eat the crab food (he would eat fish flakes tho). But eventually at the first month or so he shed his skin and just stopped moving altogether. I'm not sure what brought him to his demise, but I felt kind of guilty about it ;;

OTL sigh we killed so many pet fish many years ago..we didn't know that goldfish bowls were death traps. and that you need to de-chlorinate the water. or that the fish could squish themselves to death under the rocks 8l

Yeah when I was a kid I had a hamster and I forgot to refill its water thingy. I still feel awful about it to this day

Years ago my brother was being smart and swinging around a bungee cord and hit the fish tank with the hard metal hook on the end. There was a huge hole and water and fish began gushing out. There was water and fish on the floor everywhere and even under the dresser. We managed to save most of them, but a couple didn't make it. Since we didn't have a tank for them, we put them in a large glass jug which was pretty crowded. The next morning we found one of the bigger fish had jumped out of the tank and committed suicide and died on the floor. I was traumatized as a kid but now when I look back it's pretty funny.

omg brutal

my brother had two hermit crabs once and one morning we woke up and one of them was eating the other one....
we were so traumatised we just stopped feeding it and let it die because we didn't wanna have a cannibal as a pet... eeeep

Biggest regret of my life was giving up my cat Merlin. That cat had gone through so much with me. I got laid off from my job last year and couldn't afford my apartment. I moved in with my bf, but his father was deathly allergic to cats. I made sure Merlin went to a good home, but I'll never know what happened to him, or if he's okay. I have a new cat now, and I promised myself/the universe I will not let that happen. Never again. Roscoe is alive and happy and possibly my best friend. I love him, and I loved Merlin...and I'll always feel guilty that I don't know what happened to him

I was never good with cats
My mom brought me a cat and as spoiled as I was, I didn't want it in my room. So my mom put the cat in the attic, which was cold asf at the time. The next day it was dead.

My other cat, I would tie a scarf around its neck and it would struggle to get it off and I use to think that was funny but now I'm like that was *** up.

But besides that, I also use to feed my killer turtle baby turtles and sometimes see my other turtle eat live fish.

I have have approximately 5 million fish die in my care. Mostly 15 cent goldfish but still, I was horrible at caring for them, also killed a few bettas since I didn't know anything about their proper care when I was younger, and kept them in tiny bowls with nothing else. I also killed two rats, one was because my mom got her a cheap cage with lead painted bars AND bought bedding that is toxic to them as well... so she died from poisoning, I held her while she died it was super tragic because I loved her so much, she was partially hairless. And the other rat I had died of obesity, he was so round... but I kept putting food in because he would eat it all and the other rat I had with him would get hungry, and I wasn't about to buy a separate cage for him. Once the fat one died I re-homed the other because I know they are social and need another one with them so I re-homed him to a breeder. But yeah. I've successfully had budgies, for a few years and then I re-homed them because we weren't allowed pets in our new house, I think they were the first pet I didn't kill in one way or another. And I've successfully had a no problems snake for a year now so WOO! Looking forward to having lots of other reptiles in the future.

no ive never had pets

my mom had pet fish when i was like 4 but i never touched them . tho they died because they ate each other.

I have been very fortunate to not have to go through an animal death yet anyway. My oldest pet is a 9 year old cat who I've had since I was 2.

I saw this thread and was slightly concerned we were talking about people! I've been fortunate enough to never have accidentally killed any pets, however I did witness my sister killing her fish once, unintentionally of course! I still have my own fish and pets cats with me, and I hope they don't pass on any time soon ^_^

ive never killed a pet, but my little brother killed a ferret by accident when he was like, 2.

ALSO. This is a very weird thing that happened when I went to my friend's house, I felt like the animal harbinger of death, it was awful. I stayed over at a friends house for a few days while my parents went on vacation and the first day I was there me and my friend were playing with her hamster and she put it in this little dollhouse she had, we were working on our homework and then her mom called us to dinner so we left the room, we both forgot the hamster was out and when we went back into the room and saw the dollhouse we remembered but he wasn't in there, we searched all over her room and then we were looking down the hall and as we came to the end where it met the living room and we see her cat, with the hamster in it's mouth. My friend's mom got the hamster out of the cat's mouth but it was already pretty chewed up, it was still breathing but it died that night and my friend locked herself in the bathroom, with her dead hamster, crying, and I sat in the living room crying because I blamed myself.

The last day I was there we woke up and went out into her kitchen where she had a pair of budgies in a cage and one of them was laying on the bottom of the cage, dead. Her mom told us the day before it had gotten really sick and was pooping everywhere but I started crying because I thought it was my fault all her animals were dying... it was so weird and traumatic. This was like when I was 10 or something, but it still bugs me to this day.

Nope. I don't think I've ever killed anything, but i remember my brother being too loveable with our old bunny Daisy (if i remember her name) and he snapped her neck while hugging her ;-;

umm, actually no.
have only taken care of cats and while we had one cat that got really sick, it was not our fault. we never knew what kind of sickness she had, vet didn't know.

Also apparently my friend is a lizard killer b/c this morning we were waiting for the morning bell and she found a baby lizard. She had it on her hand and we were petting it everything was fine. Then she released it on to the ground and we were wondering where did it go. She lifted her foot and there it was dead. Yeah...

I was just walking along and he jumped to late ....he landed in fire and he died..sorry mario i killed you.

Well, no. But my Mom has killed every single let we've owned! Few examples:
When I was in preschool, we had a fair at the park and I won a fish. My mom took it out of its bowl and *voice breaks* enough said.
ADDING MORE TOMORROW, GOTTA SLEEP
