Are you going to keep a journal for the game?

I have seen a lot of pictures and post of other's journals for animal crossing recently...and they are actually so cute. And I like the idea and I am actually considering it. I have never kept a journal for anything lol I just find the animal crossing ones very cute!

So is anyone else planning on keeping an animal crossing journal? ​

That is where I first got the idea. They are so cute! Some people are so creative.

I did a bit of a personal one for NL, where I tracked major happenings for unlocks, villagers moving in and out, etc. I think I'll do that again. It was neat to go back and remember how things changed over time.

I was just thinking about this today! I love Bullet Journaling and thought about making one for my island! I think it would be a cute and fun way to track things! And writing things down by hand always works better for me than typing things out.

A journal sounds so cute!! It wasn't something I'd considered until my girlfriend mentioned doing one for her town, but I think I might just keep track on Twitter? A journal sounds so fun, but I'd want to be extra and make it super cute. I do have a bunch of extra journals just lying around though... Much to think about! I'll probably look at a ton of examples on Twitter and Tumblr.

Did anyone like the in-game diary/journals that the Gamecube game had? The feature has been MIA since.

I thought about it, but I'm really bad at keeping up with journals lol. I think what happens is I buy a brand new journal, decorate it and make it all cute, and then I have a lot of trouble writing in it because I don't want to ruin it with plain, ugly entries! but I also don't have the energy to make everything super cute!

So, right now my plan is to make a Google doc and just kind of write about a little every day! I probably won't keep track of things like fish/bugs/guide type of notes, just personal character stuff!

I'm always someone that's done a lot of roleplaying in the AC games, but looking back, i only remember really vague events that I came up with! I'm gonna journal this one to try and preserve the details in a way I can look back on <3

This could actually be fun! It also gives me an excuse to buy more scrapbook paper, washi tape, and stickers...

Yes! I ordered an Animal Crossing themed hardcover journal from Redbubble (one with colours that I feel will represent my island and theme nicely) and a custom sticker of my island's name to put on the front of it

I don't plan on doing all those fancy things like perfectly drawn boxes with notes inside / multiple doodles / tape items / etc. because if I mess up even one page I will get frustrated and abandon the book. I just want to keep note of things that have happened and that I plan on doing so that when this game is older, I can go back and experience the magic of my very first island again!

The idea of journaling is wonderful but I am not the type who has the patience to make aesthetic bullet journalling.

I'm going to try to set up a bullet journal, but to be completely honest, I don't think I'll be able to keep up with it for very long. I get behind with those kind of things, which stresses me out and turns it onto a chore, lol.
