honestly the wii and ds/ 3ds. i spent hours playing that paragliding game in wii sports because it was the only game we had besides shrek carnival. i remember that volcano part being hard and when i finally got the token i was so proud of myself, and whenever i would go to friends houses we would stay up all night playing mario kart
Its still fun to have friends over and play on the wii, it hits different than the switch. i also still play the 3ds to this day so it has a very special place in my heart
I have great memories of staying up late at night playing games like Pokemon Diamond and New Super Mario Bros and various other games on my DS. It blew my mind that there was a touch screen haha
The Wii had so much personality from the menu and channels it had and the Miis! I remember playing flash games on its web browser and yes, that was a thing. My favorite games on it were definitely the two Super Mario Galaxy games. Can’t forget about the Wii Sports titles as well.
i would say it's the GBA as i grew up playing it a lot. i actually skipped the ds until the 3ds, but i feel like the 3ds is still not that old to be nostalgic over.
GBA SP
I just had a ton of fun playing GBA games in general. I remember staying up in the dark playing some games and discovering some in game stuff here and there.
N64 for sure, I share some of my favorite childhood memories with my siblings and friends on that console plus HM64 is still one of my favorite games til this day. I also really miss my GameCube, had some good (plus some bickering here and there) times taking turns playing animal crossing with my siblings!
The 3DS. I think that was my first video game console, although maybe we had a Wii before then. But I have more memories with my 3DS. I remember playing some Smash Bros tournaments at my school with the 3DS as a controller.
the wii and 3DS. those are the last two consoles made by nintendo that i feel like actually had a soul to them (no hate switch lovers). i’m very nostalgic for things like the wii menu and all the included little apps the 3DS had. i miss when there were pseudo games.
some games that i’m nostalgic for:
◇wii sports (wii)
◇MKwii (wii)
◇DK country returns (wii)
◇animal crossing new leaf (3DS)
◇tomodachi life (3DS)
i realized that i didn’t have a lot of wii games aside from shovelware and lego games but i remember it fondly. i’m sort of “rediscovering” the wii present day because i have an original model and realized i could also play gamecube games.
It's really hard to pick just one. Maybe N64? The list of nostalgic games is really long. In terms of which has the absolute best games, I think SNES is stronger than N64, and Gamecube is probably a toss up. But Smash Bros, Paper Mario, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, the original Mario Party's, Pokemon Stadium & Snap, Harvest Moon 64, DK 64.... the list goes on. So many games that take you back to the golden age of gaming!
probably the wii and 3/DS since they were the first consoles i owned period. i still play my 3DS daily for new leaf, but the nostalgia comes more from all the games i used to play and experienced for the first time if that makes sense. like, playing my 3/DS was a core component of my childhood. i may be slightly more nostalgic for the wii just because we don't have it anymore. (and although i've hooked up the wii u twice in recent years, i've neglected to play anything on it because everyone else wants to use the TV downstairs and it's just a pain.) i have really fond memories of playing wii sports resort both solo and with family, having a town in city folk, earning high scores on just dance and sinking HOURS into super paper mario on multiple saves lol. that's easily one of my favorites games ever.
For me the nintendo DS (Lite, especially)
For one I just love the aesthetic of that console, and I have so much good memories associated with it. Simpler times, my first experience with a tactile screen... I spent hours in Pictochat just to use that tactile screen !!
Our house had an NES before those, but it was acquired before I can even remember (maybe even before I was born). But the excitement of unwrapping a present to reveal an N64 or Gameboy? Truly magical I can’t even remember anymore which one I got first or in what year, but both of them still fill me with warm fuzzies by just thinking about them
My fav games on Gameboy were Pokémon Red, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Pinball, and the Powerpuff Girl games!
My fav games on N64 were Smash Bros (especially Break the Targets!), Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2 (mostly the mini games lol), Pokémon Snap, Hey You Pikachu, Pokémon Puzzle League… Honestly, I mostly used it as a Pokémon spin-off machine But I loved it!
It's gotta be the 3DS. I made a ton of friends on that, especially with New Leaf. It's also the console that got me back into Pokemon with XY, and got me a completed national living dex with ORAS.
For me it's GBA / Gamecube for sure. For the Gamecube, Mario Kart Double Dash specifically brings me a lot of happy memories. As for GBA I put SO many hours in to my Pokémon Fire Red and Pokémon Ruby games.
