I've been seeing the articles and the blogging about this for a few days and I've been meaning to post about it, but I see OCM has already done so. I think the only shocking thing about the story is that the government's ignorance leads them to make offensive statements like the one I pasted above.

However, the deeper story isn't even the media's reaction. It's the government's prejudice towards adult gamers. Don't get me wrong, there is a serious issue when something like this happens, but it is irresponsible for the Missouri police to react this way.
