Area 51 Raid

i'm bored so let's make a thread i guess.

so, on friday, more than a million people will storm Area 51, the military base in Nevada. it originally was a meme petition by some dude on facebook that only had a handful of people sign cuz they thought it was funny. 3 days later, news of the petition got around, and a ton of people were signing up. it got to the point that even hotels are booked to the brim and other hotels are cleaning themselves up to prepare for the guests that will be coming. popular brands like bud light and arby's are kinda profitting of the event. arby's has a food truck near area 51 and bud light is sponsoring an event in honour of area 51 meme. lil nas x said he's gonna perform. around 2M people are going. the meme's died down but with the 20th coming, the meme might come full force again.

so what's your opinion on this? do you think 2M people will come to area 51? what do you think is gonna happen? personally, i kinda want this to happen, although the possiblites of 2M people storming a super protected military base is hella fricking low. but there's always that person or those people who take things way too seriously and actually come. also i've heard nevada's a hot place and area 51 is near a dessert, and i'm confused why anyone would wanna walk through a hot place without water or food, unless someone's supplying it.

I think less than a thousand people will show up. They will most likely get tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets which will cause them to leave. I kinda of hope they acually go through though so I can see the fotage of them trying.

I definitely don't think nearly that many people are going to attempt something this astronomically stupid. Like you said, there's always a couple who do stuff without fear of consequence, but I choose to believe that most of the signers were joking. The memes and videos and stuff that came out of the Area 51 thing were funny and entertaining, but I never took any of it seriously. I could be wrong though, maybe 2 million Kyles, Naruto runners, and celebrities like Lil Nas X will actually show up on the 20th. I'm just waiting for a livestream to pop up on YouTube so I can watch the entire thing unfold.

Honestly I’ve always loved aliens and Area 51 stuff ever since I was a child so this meme was awesome for me and I’ve loved all of them. I’m sure somebody will be stupid enough to actually try to raid the base but for the most part people understand it’s a joke imo.

Low key tho I am little bit worried that somebody is actually going to get shot

I sure hope they don't, but if people actually go through with this they'd better hope to "find them aliens."

2 million? There's no way that would happen. Even if there was the will to do so (which there obviously isn't), transporting that many people to a secluded location at once is way too difficult. You're basically transporting an army at that point, without any of the logistics available to most armies of that size.

I do expect a few people to show up though. Will anyone actually try to storm it? I really don't know. If that happens, they probably won't end up shot with actual bullets, but it's still a fairly stupid thing of them to do.

I'd like to think that there isn't anybody out there that would take this thing seriously but I know that at least a few numbskulls are gonna show up.The deserts in the Southwestern United States are not the best places to visit in late September,especially a very rural area like Rachel,NV.Why not just go to Las Vegas instead and visit with one of these Aliens?:
