Ask Bowie

Fashion, but it was a cover by a group of women, and I didn't even realise it was by David Bowie at the time. The first song I remember hearing from Bowie himself was either Life on Mars? or Space Oddity. I can't remember which, exactly, but one of the two. I remember disliking Space Oddity at first but then loving Life on Mars? and loving Space Oddity the next time I listened to it. I then got a compilation album called Best of Bowie, and I've been a super big fan ever since.

I remember Space Oddity from when I was little, so I'm guessing that was the first song I heard as well from him.

Another question; which song will cheer you up or make you feel better if you're having a bad day?

I'm ashamed to say I didn't know that song at all. Thanks for linking the video. The one song that comes to my mind when I hear the name Kate Bush is this one :

Yeah, that's definitely her most popular song. I don't blame you! It is a wonderful song, after all. I highly recommend listening to her album The Red Shoes (which "Eat the Music" is from). "Moments of Pleasure" is one of my favourite songs of all time.

What's your opinion on Donald Trump?

I don't even consider him a real candidate. I live in the UK, so he doesn't have much of an impact on my life or my country, but if I were living over there, I just wouldn't give him the time of day. The only problem is that he has a lot of supporters and he's getting a lot of coverage. Maybe if people stopped paying attention to him, he wouldn't be doing so well.

My personal belief is that he's not serious. I don't think that he actually believes in half of what he says. He's a political troll, if you will. If he becomes president, I'd be very interested in seeing how his behaviour changes and what he starts to say, because I get the feeling they will be different. Not good different, but different to what he's saying now. I mean, whatever he's doing, it's working. He's attracted a lot of attention to himself, mainly because of all the outrageous things he has said and continues to say now. Maybe this is all just a tactic to win, because he's "famous" now.
