You have more than one physical copy too? You should change the time on your other 3DS first. I memorized the serial numbers on the back of mine (well, last 3 digits).

I would take a sharpie and put a dot on the TOP of the cartridge. That way you'd be able to tell which one it is, and it'll never be inside the DS. I have multiple colors, so I would just make a rainbow of towns...but I only have one cart. My main town came predownloaded on the DS. I love my poptart. <3

Not really. I've gone through A LOT of villagers, and I'm fairly certain they won't move back in on their own if they've already lived here. Every villager that moves out or gets voided makes your chance that much greater. (I've never seen doubles, nor has anyone else that I've talked with)
