As it?s almost definitely going to be the most-talked about movie of the year (at least until Episode 9 in December), I thought I?d make a thread to discuss Avengers: Endgame! Make sure to tag your spoilers in case anyone accidentally clicks this thread who doesn?t want to be spoiled c:

What were your thoughts on the movie? Favourite/least favourite parts?

I haven't seen it yet but I'm going to... can't wait to come back to this thread when I do. Not being able to watch videos or read articles on it is KILLING me

I am going insane not being able to talk about it because I haven't seen it yet. Luckily, I only have 24 hours to go because I preordered tickets to see tomorrow.

I'm gonna go see it tomorrow with my bff and I'm sooooo excited ahhdplkjj
Almost everyone in my school already saw it so it was hard avoiding all the spoilers.
I successfully avoided them with my ignorance power

Going to see it this afternoon. I watched the leaks so I have an idea of what to expect.

I’m not much of a Marvel fan, but my brother saw it.

i saw it last night and i loved it, i thought it was a great film to conclude the arc of the past 10 years.

i'm still very confused about the timeline - so if cap goes back to 1945 to live out his life with peggy, does that mean he lives through the corruption of shield, the death of tony's parents, bucky's torture etc and does nothing about it? i thought it was a sweet ending but very out of character since i perceived civil war to be steve's closure with peggy (especially since he was making out with her niece post-funeral), but it was a happy ending. while tony's death was horrible and i was crying very loudly and embarrassingly, and i wish he was able to live with his family, it was beautiful and heroic. the funeral was heart breaking - even harley from iron man 3 was there!! - and i feel like maybe if tony had the family ending and cap died, it would be more fitting to their character journeys. i'm looking forward to the future of the mcu, particularly with sam wilson as the new cap, the disney+ series and how the avengers will change without iron man, black widow and steve rogers.

I haven't been following it since I'm not into superhero movies, but yesterday I learned that the movie was THREE HOURS LONG and I almost choked lol

I haven't seen it yet, but I've gotten spoiled so many times it isn't even funny :v

I'm really excited to see it though!!! <3

Some kid legit screamed in the hallway 'IRON MAN DIES' and I'm so angry and upset...
However, I'm really excited that Bucky comes back! He's legit my husband and I love him so much... That was the only thing I wanted to know, and before I even see the movie, I know the whole story and what happens. I'm trying to keep my ears closed along with my eyes, so I don't get spoiled any further... ;w;

At that point he would've known that those events happen. If he changed any of them I assume it would've affected the timeline and changed stuff in the future... Just like them taking the infinity stones back after. If he changed Bucky's toture for example, stuff we've seen in the movies wouldn't have occurred.

I'll probably wait awhile to see it, but I've already spoiled the ending for myself so I'm in no big rush to watch it now.

K. That was amazing. An epic culmination of 10 years of movies and ultimately a fitting end. I have nitpicks, but those can wait for later.

That?s the first time I?ve ever openly sobbed in a movie before.

I haven’t seen it yet, but I still have several earlier movies to watch like Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and I still haven’t even seen Avengers: Infinity War yet, lmao... I have some catching up to do. I need to sit down when I go home one night and just have a Marvel marathon to catch up so I can go see Endgame.

so, so many things. I won't remember them all, maybe I'll update this later

-Tony and Nebula being pals was adorable
-The second Tony's daughter showed up it really sunk in how this was going to hurt like a *****. Their relationship was precious
-I guess Loki's loose with the Tessarect in a parallel world now so that's cool I guess
-'That is america's ass' had me dying
-In fact the entire future/past cap scene was great
-the climax with all the snapped characters returning was a new level of epic. People in my theater actually clapped when Spiderman showed up!
-Pepper in the Iron man suit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I screamed
-Scarlett witch going after Thanos was awesome
-I actually like how little captain marvel was in the movie. I don't like her as a character and I'm EXTREMELY glad she didn't kill Thanos.
-I'm ok with Natasha's death actually. Sacrificing herself for Clint made sense and concluded her character arc nicely. Even though it does hurt.

-Tony and Steve's ultimate fate is the thing I'm most pleased with. It completed both of their character arcs beautifully and gave them the sendoff into the sunset they deserved.
-I knew Tony probably had to go, and this was the best possible way for him to go out. Saving the day, completely selfless. It really showed just how far he's come and how much he grew as a person over the course of these movies. Almost everyone in my theater was crying and sniffling during his funeral scene. It was all I could do to hold myself together. I'm tearing up now typing this out while I think about it. An amazing character and an amazing end.
-Steve finally got his dance. too. ;.;

-The first act went on too long. I feel like they spent too much time on drawing out things that were nonessential to the plot-time that could've been better spent where it really mattered. Even though I enjoyed all the humor, and gags, a lot of them could've been trimmed.

-I hate how they didn't revive Loki in the current timeline and I wish he could've been in the climax

-imo Bucky should be the next cap, not Sam. Sam doesn't have the depth of character that Bucky does and he's not even a super soldier. Bucky's been by Steve's side from the very beginning, and it should've been him who went up to that bench to talk with Steve. Besides, who's going to wear the falcon armor?

-idk how I feel about Thor giving up Asgard to Valkyrie and running off with the guardians. Yes it was hilarious that he was fat and a drunk, but I don't think I like how they left him that way at the end. Even though I kind of want to see what he does with the guardians, he's grown past that level of irresponsibility as a character. I don't care for how the Russo's have steamrolled what Taika did with Ragnarok in their treatment of Thor. He's my favorite avenger and he deserved better than this.

-What the crap happened to Gamorrah? She wasn't at Tony's funeral and wasn't with the rest of the guardians either. She was at the climax and then just vanished without a word about her. Did she get snapped along with Thanos or what? It needed to be explained.

-Steve shouldn't be in the current present. That goes against the rule they established about how what's done in the past doesn't effect the current present it just splits the timeline. Therefore when Steve went back to live his life with Peggy It should've started a split timeline separate from the present one.

Overall it was an excellent movie. It was great in the ways that mattered most and I truly enjoyed the experience. (even the parts that left me crying hysterically in the theater)

~pardon my rant. I have a lot of feelings

I can't wait for it to come out so that my friends will see it and then they can stop constantly pestering me to watch a bunch of movies I absolutely do not care about so that I can go and watch a movie I absolutely do not care about.

I hope they think it's disappointing...Hope everybody else enjoys it, just not them.

Oh boy this was A BRILLIANT MOVIE!! Personally I was not a huge fan of marvel movies but all the hype for endgame forced me to watch this movie and I did not regret it! I'm glad I was not really spoiled before watching it. I felt so sad when black widow sacrificed her life for the infinity stone and iron man's death, omg it was so sad :'( A true hero. When black panther appeared, the people in my theater started clapping and stuff, someone even said "Thanos, I don't feel so good" HAHAHA. However I think captain marvel should have gotten more scenes in the movie, she's my favorite : (
The movie was great overall and I loved it so much!!! Maybe I'll go watch it again lol

About Gamora, I was also wondering where she went. When It first showed Quill back on the ship he was looking at a picture of Gamora that said "SEARCHING" above it- before Thor came in. So I assume that'll be a plot point in the next Guardians.

Just watched it, amazing movie. I think this is the perfect culmination for 10 years MCU and had it too many great moments to list them all. Can't really say more without getting into spoilers.

This Gamorra is from 2014 and never joined the Guardians. She has no affiliation with the Guardians and thus no reason to go with them. She probably just went her own ways after the battle.

Can't say anything regarding Steve. No one on the internet seems to figure that one out. Him existing should create a new timeline, even if he does not interact in any meaningful way. (Not interacting at all would also be pretty hard considering everything going on with Bucky, Shield/Hydra and so on.) Maybe he is from another timeline and he figured out a way to switch the timeline, if that makes sense? I really have no idea how that moment is supposed to work.

Edit: Regarding Loki: There is already a TV show featuring Loki in the works, so this wasn't the last we have seen from Loki. They might use the scene from the movie for a new timeline and base for the show.

I was going to post my review about it last night after I saw it, but I was WAY too tired.

Anyways. Here are some things I liked.

- that bucky came back. he was legit all that mattered to me LOL

- that everyone came back!!! except... the ones who were dead dead...

- that clint and nat fought over who decided to sacrifice themself for the soul stone. lots of angst and lots of emotions...

- thor was fat. he was soooo iconic, that beer belly and everything xD

- that korg and meek were playing fortnite. it was legit. so. funny. and thor roasted the noob LOL.

- that clint got his family back... made me cry.

- SEEING SCOTT HUG HIS DAUGHTER FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE SNAP. I CRIED SO HARD.

- a lot more i probably will think of when i'm in a quiet place instead of being in my noisy living room.

- thor gave up asgard to brunnhilde (valkryie).

- nat died. i just... like i knew one of em had to go, but i was so... sad to see nat's fate :<

- tony passed away heroically. it was sad, i already knew he died, but i wasn't expecting him to die that way... :s

- bucky wasn't given the chance to be the new cap. not to be biased, but bucky really truly deserves that chance to be the next captain america. :V plus, he was steve's best friend. its like... he just swept his bestie to the side. it made me kinda upset.

And... that's my opinion on things. I'm going to see it again to analyze things a bit more; attempt to let my emotions stay on the sidelines so I can be an analyst xD I'd definitely see it more than once, it was good.

Eeee I still have to wait a week & a half before I go see it. I'm SO curious!
