gonna watch it burn! ♡
Eeee I still have to wait a week & a half before I go see it. I'm SO curious!
Trust me, it's such a good film! I rate it 10/10!!! :> I hope you genuinely enjoy the movie!
Eeee I still have to wait a week & a half before I go see it. I'm SO curious!
so, so many things. I won't remember them all, maybe I'll update this later
-Tony and Nebula being pals was adorable
-The second Tony's daughter showed up it really sunk in how this was going to hurt like a *****. Their relationship was precious
-I guess Loki's loose with the Tessarect in a parallel world now so that's cool I guess
-'That is america's ass' had me dying
-In fact the entire future/past cap scene was great
-the climax with all the snapped characters returning was a new level of epic. People in my theater actually clapped when Spiderman showed up!
-Pepper in the Iron man suit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I screamed
-Scarlett witch going after Thanos was awesome
-I actually like how little captain marvel was in the movie. I don't like her as a character and I'm EXTREMELY glad she didn't kill Thanos.
-I'm ok with Natasha's death actually. Sacrificing herself for Clint made sense and concluded her character arc nicely. Even though it does hurt.
-Tony and Steve's ultimate fate is the thing I'm most pleased with. It completed both of their character arcs beautifully and gave them the sendoff into the sunset they deserved.
-I knew Tony probably had to go, and this was the best possible way for him to go out. Saving the day, completely selfless. It really showed just how far he's come and how much he grew as a person over the course of these movies. Almost everyone in my theater was crying and sniffling during his funeral scene. It was all I could do to hold myself together. I'm tearing up now typing this out while I think about it. An amazing character and an amazing end.
-Steve finally got his dance. too. ;.;
-The first act went on too long. I feel like they spent too much time on drawing out things that were nonessential to the plot-time that could've been better spent where it really mattered. Even though I enjoyed all the humor, and gags, a lot of them could've been trimmed.
-I hate how they didn't revive Loki in the current timeline and I wish he could've been in the climax
-imo Bucky should be the next cap, not Sam. Sam doesn't have the depth of character that Bucky does and he's not even a super soldier. Bucky's been by Steve's side from the very beginning, and it should've been him who went up to that bench to talk with Steve. Besides, who's going to wear the falcon armor?
-idk how I feel about Thor giving up Asgard to Valkyrie and running off with the guardians. Yes it was hilarious that he was fat and a drunk, but I don't think I like how they left him that way at the end. Even though I kind of want to see what he does with the guardians, he's grown past that level of irresponsibility as a character. I don't care for how the Russo's have steamrolled what Taika did with Ragnarok in their treatment of Thor. He's my favorite avenger and he deserved better than this.
-What the crap happened to Gamorrah? She wasn't at Tony's funeral and wasn't with the rest of the guardians either. She was at the climax and then just vanished without a word about her. Did she get snapped along with Thanos or what? It needed to be explained.
-Steve shouldn't be in the current present. That goes against the rule they established about how what's done in the past doesn't effect the current present it just splits the timeline. Therefore when Steve went back to live his life with Peggy It should've started a split timeline separate from the present one.
Overall it was an excellent movie. It was great in the ways that mattered most and I truly enjoyed the experience. (even the parts that left me crying hysterically in the theater)
~pardon my rant. I have a lot of feelings
is there a post ending scene for avengers Endgame? I watched it like 2 days ago.. It was amazing
I was confused when some random douchebag wrote "IRON MAN DIES" as a name for Kahoot, but the person chose something else. We were going to watch it like tmr. My sis got pissed because i said that to her
@skarmoury
ALSO did any of you catch the scene with the woman empowerment?? Chills. Im so happy.
honestly it broke my heart when all the women came together into the battlefield but black widow wasn't there. Anyways I got chills too! Someone sitting next to me was like "GIRL POWER" and I was like yaaaas

I agree, seeing every female sent CHILLS, but knowing BW was missing was saddening. Still i'd watch a female avengers movie ASAP.

-Steve shouldn't be in the current present. That goes against the rule they established about how what's done in the past doesn't effect the current present it just splits the timeline. Therefore when Steve went back to live his life with Peggy It should've started a split timeline separate from the present one. The thing about this, is that he went back in time and lived his life as it was in the comics, so he didn't spit a timeline because that's exactly how it had always happened. Its a perfectly looped paradox that just happens to work in it.
I saw it last saturday, and the struggle was real trying to find available tickets when we decided to go see it spontaneously!! The only seats left were ones right at the front next to the screen lol. Anyways, I have some thoughts. I thought it was a great movie, with lots of things that went into depth and hit the feels. We got to see some very different sides of some characters, which was really nice. While overall I think they wrapped up most things very nicely, there was still a few ties left loose. I sorta felt the same way after Infinity War too.
I agree mostly with what Bcat said, so pardon the double ups
- Tony and Nebula at the start was really cute. It was nice to see a bit more of development from Nebula
- The whole scene with Thor and ranting to the kid playing fortnite had me in FITS it was hilarious
- Two words: "America's Ass" That whole scene when they were getting the Tesseract was really good and well thought out. There was so many references to the previous movies, and the "hail hydra" line was SO GOOD. I thought they were going to have that elevator fight again like in Winter Soldier, but when Cap pulled that line I was like YES
- I haven't seen Captain Marvel, but I think given her powers, I'm glad she had a minor part and let the original Avengers do their part
- Tony and Steve's endings were really good!!
- The scene @ Tony's death with Pepper still supporting him right to the end was SO moving! Like I was legit balling my flippin' eyes out at that whole scene, I didn't think I was going to stop crying ;-; I knew Tony would probably have to go, it wasn't exactly a surprise to me. I thought Cap would have gone? But he still lived his best life
- Black Widows death was so touching and sacrificial. I'm still SO sad that she's gone, because she has literally been everyones back bone at sometime through the movies, Steve, Clint, Banner, Fury....hhhhhh it's just so sad that she's gone!! I'm going to cry again I swear...
- Steve and his dance oml!
- I really liked Scotts character through the movie. I mean I like his character full stop but still...
- Thanos peacefully cooking in his "retirement home" was actually kinda cool but VERY eerie at the same time lol
- Thor just being iconic with his beer belly
- Banner being confident!! Go you!! He became a bit too relaxed though....
- I was so happy to see the Ancient One again! She was one of my faves from Doctor Strange :3 And it was good to see her play a decent role with decent screentime
- Cap and Tony reinstating their good friendship! It's never really been shown properly since Infinity War
- how did 2014 Thanos know that present Thanos didn't destroy the stones?? Yeah, surely Thanos would have known that you can't destroy the stones without the universe going to chaos. But then how did present Thanos end up so injured? What did he do to get that way? Why did he attempt to destroy them even though he probably knew it would destroy the universe? What happened to the stones in the present then? Where did they go? So many questions!!
- Cap being able to use the Mjolnir makes no sense to me...I'm probably missing something, but I feel like if anyone should be able to wield it, it should be Tony. (ye I'm biased too because Tony>>Cap imo)
- How is the relationship between 2014 Gamora and Quill going to work now? Gamora knows nothing about Quill anymore, but Quill knows everything like Gamora...to Quill it would be like talking to Gamora with amnesia or something
- I never thought about Steve being in the current future....pretty stumped on that one
- They didn't really give any screentime to Scarlet Witch and how she feels about not getting Vision back, but it was good to see her go at Thanos I guess
- I think they went too overboard with Thor and being his fat self. I was expecting him to go back to normal for the final fight, I mean he's the god of thunder so surely there's some magical transformation available. It was just such a backwards move from the amazing thing that was Thor: Ragnarok. It was like they stuck him in a rut where he couldn't get past the past....there was just a lack of development for such an amazing character with so much more potential
I'm sure there's other things but I'll leave it here lmao
and that's the tea

So about Mjolnir. It is stated in the first Thor movie (and in the comics) that only those who are worthy (in this case, basically meaning pure and good) can weild Mjolnir. At the beginning of the first Thor movie, not even Thor himself was able to weild it. Tony is unable to weild Mjolnir because while being an all around awesome guy, he is not entirely good and definitely not pure (y'all remember the first 20 minutes of the first Iron Man movie, right, or do we need a recap?). Captain America on the other hand has always been the embodyment of goodness and purity (especially since he is miracously lacking the 1940s sense of racism, sexism, and homophobia). Captain America is simply good for the sake of being good. This makes him worthy of weilding Mjolnir and therefore, gives him the ability to use it. This is also in canon with the comic books.

Present day Thanos DID destroy the stones, that's why he was injured. It nearly killed him doing it. Destroying the stones wouldn't destroy the universe. And past Thanos knew that present-day Thanos had gotten the stones and destroyed them and that the Avengers were going back to find the past version of the stones because he was looking at Nebulas memories. She had been there for all of it.

That actually IS very good character development because in real life people go through that depression after losing someone or failing at something, and they don't just "bounce back" even being a God of thunder wouldn't have done it.
