Avengers: Endgame discussion

aaah yes, that makes a lot of sense! I knew it would have some sort of connection to the comic books too, except I don't know a whole lot about the comic universe xP Thanks for explaining that to me!

If I recall correctly, I remember past Thanos saying something along the lines of "No he hasn't [destroyed the stones]". It's like past Thanos knew that it wasn't part of his plans, like he planned on keeping them for another purpose or something, not sure. Didn't the Ancient One explain to Bruce that you can't just knock one stone out of existence? Like if you do, the timeline splits and goes into the dark realm or something along those lines? So if you eliminated all the stones, that would mean the universe would go to chaos because time basically wouldn't exist and the universe itself would be just like the dark realm? I think that's the part I'm confused about, whether it's a plot hole or there is a deeper explanation for why and how the stones were destroyed, I have no idea. Then again, I could've just heard a bunch of scenes wrong ^^"

Hmm yeah, I guess I didn't really think about it in that way. I think it is impressive for Marvel to be showing such real emotion in the heroes, that not even the heroes are perfect and bounce back from such devastating events. It's import for the all the characters really. I just think that they relied on that plotline a bit too much for Thor, perhaps we'll see him in a better state in Guardians of the Galaxy 3

I dint remember thanos saying or implying that future thanos had not destroyed the stones AT ALL and I've watched it twice :x She didnt say destroyed the stones makes another timeline, she said removing something from it's current place in time creates a other timeline. Removing Tony's iron man suit from the timeline would have had the exact same effect. The time stone isnt time itself, it can just control it or whatever.

Thanos destroyed the stones on that first planet, which is what the pulse of energy the avengers saw was. When he told them he had destroyed the stones nebula saw, and then when 2014Thanos saw the memories he saw that future thanos destroyed the stones and that his plan didnt work. Hence why he goes forward in time. He knew the avengers had all the stones /were collecting them because nebula saw it all.

that would make a lot more sense as I haven't really seen what I questioned in any articles or anything from the Russo brothers. I think I may have misheard some things as I was so hyped about watching the movie itself that I couldn't concentrate on things lmaoo :'))

I think I really need to rewatch it again to get ALL the references made. I know there's a lot I've missed, it was so jam-packed with references to the 22 or so movies before it that I think I need to watch it a few times to get the full grasp of it. Not saying that's a bad thing either, I would happily watch it again!

I am very upset about the fact that antman did not crawl up Thanos's butt and expanding to kill him but hey i guess the ending was ok
