I went vs them about 20 times. As long as you beat the 1st trainer you make money, so it's really good for training. And every time I would beat the 3rd trainer so I would make about 15,000 every time and lose like 6,000 which is a gain and my Pokemon would get good training.

Well, my Staraptor (high 40s) would beat the 1st guy. Empoleon (low 50s) would beat the 2nd and most of the 3rd. Dialga (low 50s) beat the 4th guy. And then Dialga pretty much beat most of the Champion. Infernape (low 50s) beat the Roserade and Lucario, Dialga beat Garchomp, Spiritomb, and various guys beat Gastrodom and Milotic.

I think I just don't try and match up my types well enough. -.-

Not good, Staraptor (Starly's last evolution) would be one of the best for the 1st guy. And Empoleon (Piplup's last evolution) is pretty much the best for the 2nd and 3rd....

Yeah, I dont see the problem, Use torterra for 2 Dialaga for 1, 4 and part of 5 Hippowdown for 3 and infernape for 4's Bronzong and for #5
