I've already been visited by Celeste two times and no star showed up on those nights. :( bad rng

I haven't had stars or Celeste yet. I've been playing since release. Wisp has come like 4 times though

I finally had my first shooting stars last night. There were only 8ish stars and I only got to wish on 3 because I wasn't expecting it. But, they were beautiful! You will get them eventually!

Yeah, I was told that there would be shooting stars when Celeste shows up. She showed up for me and no stars. I’ve just been worried if it’s a bug or just awful bad luck. :/

you have to wait until the sky is completely cleared unfortunately. i met celeste at 7 PM but i only saw stars at 10 PM because that's when the sky completely cleared up

The meteor shower can come without Celeste too, just be on the lookout
I had an unannounced meteor shower randomly one day
Only way I knew was cause two of my villagers were talking about it. Be on the lookout.

its 9 pm right now. I'll report there if I see stars lather tonight~

Last night I had Celeste in town and very few stars. Other nights she's not there and I've gotten more stars. I think it's a bit random, and even on days with meteor showers, not every hour will have them.

Oh, clear skies... that may be the answer.

Wait is it possible to have Celeste and not have shooting stars appear? I've noticed sometimes it takes a long while for me to see shooting stars and then they start coming down like right after another that I have to click A so fast not to skip a single one.

damn that sucks :c i’ve only had her visit twice and only got shooting stars during one of her visits

From what I've noticed, shooting stars have the chance to appear pretty much any night that's clear. You won't get very many, but you can definitely get some. Just keep an ear out for the shooting star noise. The difference for actual meteor shower nights is it seems like you can get a lot more.

Being clear is key - even if Celeste is around, you won't get the stars if it's cloudy.
