Hi guys. I share Gandalf's views on this one. Lynching an inactive player is definitely a better route to take than a no-lynch, but I'd rather we try to find someone acting suspicious before we even consider going for the reasonably safe route of getting rid of an inactive player. It's very rarely that we actually manage to get scum on Day 1 with that tactic.

Seeing as the day will go on for 24 hours, we should try to give everyone a chance to speak up and get some discussions started. Let's not end the day early - That will only help scum.

First impressions regarding suspicions for me is on Jellofish for the way they worded their previous posts, as Gandalf pointed out above. And possibly Tsundere as well, for being so against roleclaiming. I do agree that claiming can be a disaster at times and is rarely wise to do on Day 1, especially in a closed set-up, but something about the post they wrote (which was filled out with jokes and sillyness alongside of the no-claim statement..) made it seem like they had something to hide to me.

There are better methods of playing townie than just roleclaiming. But on that, I don't think Jello is scum. Pulling the naive card and getting your role wrong this early in the game doesn't sound like the best scum tactic so I would rather put them to the side for now.

MissNiamh and and ITookYourWaffles stand out to me from those that have posted recently. Posting before reading through the thread is odd for one, and same with the Jello x Sid scum team post. I can't tell if this is a joke or serious. Are you trying to draw our attention to or away from ryan here? Is there any other reason you suspect those two besides what has already been said?

It's incredibly strange for Jellofish to roleclaim on Day 1 with no real reason - Not a single vote had been cast for them or anything, and we were just saying that it was not a good idea to forward any roles publicly unless absolutely necessary. However, the claim seems to add up I think, but this means that scum now knows the name of the Townie role, and that they aren't a blue role, so it only benefits scum to announce it in any case.

So there is two ways to look at this: Either Jellofish paniced and figured they would claim before anyone else did, so that their claim would be more believable - Ooooooor theyre the Mafia Godfather and they were told that the name of the Townie role in their role PM, and that they would show up as that role if they got inspected? That's something we have to seriously consider. If the claim is true, then Jellofish definitely dun goofed.

I was really curious why he didn't include his name in his post unless it's late night and he forgot then it makes sense. I have no solid proof that Jello is scum all we have here is (1) he didn't include his name what his post (2) role claim.

i was just throwing a name out there, but ok. but yeah of course the inactive lynch is not the best option, but it's better than nothing. also i dont want anyone to claim because of sunleuth mafia - literally all the blues claimed in public. that and claiming townie makes it easier for scum to bluesnipe. i have nothing to hide honestly. don't know why you're so suspicious of that, sataric. also with jellofish claiming townie, they could be trying to do what i did in sunleuth. i was basically a confirmed townie in that game. its very possible minties told the godfather the townie name considering she was also in that game.

Jellofish's roleclaim was dumb but you've already been told that. >.< It is fair to say that you are inactive in games, so instead of freaking out about it you should take it as constuctive criticism to improve your play style. Going for ryan88's play style of instant unnecessary townie claim doesn't benefit town as has already been mentioned.

I think it's too early to say we're going to lynch inactives, some people haven't even had the chance to post yet. If they're still inactive closer to day end then it would make sense, but for now some people might still be sleeping or busy, etc. I will keep an eye out for players posting elsewhere and avoiding the thread though.

Ugh Jello why did you claim thaths just putting out the townie name for mafia. About 4 hours left for the lynch and It's seems like no one has slipped day 1. I don't know if no body slips I think I'll take the inactive route.

well ok. I believe jello is town only because their role name lines up with mine. i was kinda mad that they just stated the role name. now scum knows what it is and can use it to hide behind. there is the slight possibility that she could be the godfather though.
