Beastars?

So is this any good? I watched the first 3 episodes and it's just weird. However, if someone could convince me that it gets better than the first 3 episodes, I'll probably give it another chance.

Honestly, I wouldn’t say it gets better.

I love anthropomorphic characters and was very excited about it in advance (even bought some of the manga), but the story as a whole definitely fell short of my expectations. It’s not bad at all—just not very good either, despite the interesting concept.

My collectible lineup is still based on it though

I liked Death Note, Attack on Titan, Parasyte, Kill la Kill, the chimera arc in Hunter x Hunter..
I did not like anime like Naruto, or Seven Deadly Sins.

I watched it and it stays the same kind of weird. Apparently the manga goes much more indepth into the world and the lore, but I feel like the first season could have been a lot more interesting outside of the main pairing. I wouldn't really recommend it either, but the lore is pretty good.

As a fan of Death Note I would recommend Kakegurui. It often has a weird tone to it, but the episodes are about outsmarting the opponent.

im also only a few episodes in and it's very weird to me too, i also feel uncomfortable with the sexual scenes but im not one to prefer them in shows im rarely ever excited to see them bc most of the time i feel like they're there to fulfill a teenage boy fantasy

I really loved Beastars because I liked the basic concept of the world and the carnivore/herbivore tensions. I thought the story was good and the characters were well-thought out individuals.

With that said, I saw someone comment on a different thread that they thought the characters weren't likeable and I can see that. While I thoroughly enjoyed the story, I never really clicked with any of the characters individually and it was more their dynamic together that I enjoyed versus feeling any kinship or even empathy for the main trio.

I would say that if you've given it 3 or more episodes and you just aren't into it, that's probably not going to change. If anything, the situations that make some people uncomfortable or just not like the series become more pronounced as you near the end of the season. There's no harm in not liking something.

I'm.... obsessed with it? Idk, it says a lot about "humanity" even tho none of the characters are human. i feel like it's one of those animes where you either like it or don't.

it's a great show. at first i wasn't interested but it picks up at about episode 8ish or so and gets REALLY good. waiting patiently for season 2
