Well that is a bit misleading with the weeds. So you mean to tell me that the weeds don't go away it just decreased the spawn rate? I guess with the flowers they do appear, but would it make more sense if there was like an indication that the flowers were watered like when they sparkle?
Does the Ordinance make it easier to get hybrid flowers?
Hmm okay, well I didn't see any changes to my red roses on my 2nd island so I am unsure about this.
Okay another thing what about the weeds? I've seen some confusion how they don't disappear but they decrease the spawn rate? I don't remember that being a thing in New Leaf.
ive been time traveling a few months ahead with it, mostly to cycle out villagers and so far no weeds picked. but a lot less showing up.
Hmm something tells me that the whole "villagers picking up weeds" is misleading because all it does is just slow down the rate of when weeds grow. Well I used Leif's weeding service which costs 100,000 bells and guess what when I time traveled the next day it worked. All the weeds were in the Recycle Bin at Resident Services and my island had no weeds. That is what I thought the villagers were supposed to do by picking up weeds and put them in the Recycle Bin but it doesn't seem to be the case.
I guess since the villagers don’t get paid like Leif they don’t do as thorough a job.lol Although, I can see why Nintendo made it that way. If having the beautiful ordinance in effect did the same function then paying Leif would be pointless since you get it for free.
But if you used Leif's weeding service once then you don't have to use it again. Even Leif tells you that you "Don't have enough weeds" so there is no need to use it again. I used it on my 2nd island since I restarted and there was so many weeds so it came in handy.
Are you saying once you pay Lief once, weeds won’t grow on your island again? I’ve never used his service but I assumed that after he takes out all the weeds, it will grow back again and that’s when you pay him. It probably requires a set number of weeds for him to accept.
I think you're misunderstanding, What I am trying to say is that you need a certain number of weeds on your island in order for Leif to use his service. If you time travel say like 30 days all the weeds should grow back on your island and when it becomes too much I assume maybe Leif will offer his service again. I am not sure how many weeds you need, but sometimes he would say "You don't have many weeds growing" its weird, but thats how sometimes when you barely have weeds your island it won't work.
