I remember reading an old thread like this before, I feel like it's a topic that could be fun to have and read while we're waiting for the newest game/wave of members in the coming year.

If you're anything like me, TBT has been a home forum for many years (Close to four for me), and you have some nostalgic memories from the past. Whether it be stories of friends that haven't logged on in years, Wedding threads, the IRC, Collectible Teams, old staff members, fun forum events, etc.; I think it would be fun to dedicate this thread to posting and talking about stories that we remember from our time here

And if you're a newer member and don't really have a lot of memories, maybe we could talk about things that we hope for the future of TBT

One of my best memories here is probably the 2016-2017 mafia community, used to stay up all night playing games with them over discord. Mafia cycles through periods of activity and inactivity, and it's pretty dead right now- so my hope for the future of TBT is that it'll both be revived and full of fresh faces

:]

Back when I was a new member, I written blogs every day until I got to 100 entries. I also remember when Brewster’s had a spike in pizza threads to where everybody talked about pizza, when I caught a chocolate cake in the restocks for the first time, and when the Collectible discussion had a high posting rate because of the craze for candy collectibles.

I think it was back when I joined in 2013 and my username was AnimalCrossingExpert(ACE), but I’m pretty sure I joined in some of the first TBT Mafia games (if someone wants to correct me on the year, go ahead). I had fun with them but stopped playing after awhile, and I would join back in, but nowadays I have a lot of prior commitments that keep me from doing so. In 2015 when my username was Ryu, I remember signing up for and playing in some of the Sm4sh tournaments that were really, really fun. I don’t have a Switch yet so I can’t join the Smash Ultimate tournaments right now, but I’m really glad to see all of the veteran Smash TBT users are still here as well. I think those two years are the best memories I have from the past as that’s when I was most active (aside from this past year when I went by Spike Spiegel and now this username). I have other memories of playing Animal Crossing New Leaf with different people which was fun too. I’m sure there’s a lot more I could recount, but I don’t feel like writing an essay. I was only 16 when I joined this forum and now I’m almost 22. I feel so old now, haha. Time sure flies by when you’re having fun. :)

^Omg that's what happened to Spike Spiegel wow.

I haven't been on here for a full year yet (don't pay any attention to my join date, I technically didn't start using tbt till Halloween, I kept messing up my login info somehow :^D ) but my best memory was when MasterM64, occasional tbt users and I had a mini war on the Boys vs Girls thread that went on for like 2 hours. We ended up being top posters the next day, him at 200+ and me at near 180+. Lol good times.

2014 Halloween restocks are a very fond memory... the bottle incident (which to this day I still hold myself responsible for as I suggested it in the first place!) also goes hand in hand with the chaos that ensued on the TBT marketplace that year. The Team trend which started with Team Popsicle was also pretty enjoyable to watch.

Edit: Oh, and this image.

I miss the old artists/creative people here! I loved seeing Ardrey's art and Simple's sigs. I remember joining my first secret santa (the one by ssvv227 in 2015) it was a really fun experience for me!
Remember the days when the voodoo dolls/pumpkin cupcakes/ancient candles would sell out so fast during halloween restocks in 2015? They've declined so much in price and demand nowadays but before, they were all the rage. Reminds me how crazy for collectibles we were (and still are) lol.

Nothing really. This site has been really dull and boring compared to my old forums. The only memory I have is talking to a few mutuals and they’re all gone pretty much.

I remember trying to fit in collectible restocks during my classes in school when I could. Even though I don't go to many anymore or come here much, it was pretty fun to do at the time.

Mafia is a scourge upon this website. I've taken my Mafia vaccinations, waiting for the disease to completely die off.

Mumble game night from like 4 years ago was a good time.

I remember in December 2015, I think on TBT's birthday, there were chocolate cake restocks throughout the day at unannounced times but only like 2 chocolate cakes restocked each time. There were people waiting at their computers all day trying to get one and I wasn't even going to bother, but then the *one* time in the whole day I looked at the shop, there was a restock at that exact second. So I grabbed one of the two available cakes and thought it was the funniest thing ever.

Pizza vs. politics. Also that one noon-europe restock like did someone actually pee their pants lol

every easter i wait for stuff like this
