GC: Can't really my first town in this game, but I think I briefly had Tangy who is now one of my favorites. In my current town, it's either Bob, Dotty, or Zoe.
WW: Stitches and Cyrano
CF: Can't remember this one either.
NL: Can't remember the first town, currently it's either Bruce, Bam, or Melba.
NH: Melba, with Tangy at a close second. And on Melbourne it's Daisy.

Wild World: Ruby
Ruby was the first villager I ever liked. I would always talk to her and do her requests. She moved away a few months later, but I deleted that save anyways. Ruby still holds a special place in my heart and she's currently living on my NH island.

New Leaf: Keaton
Love his design and smug personality. I talked to him very often. I'm pretty sure he was the only villager in my town whose birthday I celebrated, haha. I haven't played NL in a while, but I think he's still in my town.

New Horizons: Apollo
This one was hard to pick since I've befriended many villagers, but I went with my favorite. Ever since I got his amiibo card, I've made sure to have him on my island every time I restarted my save. He was the first villager whose photo I've received from them. I even recreated his interior in one of my rooms. Apollo is cool.

Antonio has been a fave since Wild World. I am pretty sure he was among the initial villagers in my town when I started the game back in the 2000s. Then, in New Leaf, I made sure to get it from a town he was moving out from. And it was really thrilled to see that he was one of the two initial villagers in my island in New Horizons, that was incredibly lucky!

New Horizons is my first game, and I've noticed that Shari is my best friend. It occurred accidentally, as I kept giving that cute little monkey random clothes. Katrina also told me that Shari and I have a close friendship, and if she says it, it must be true....

Since New Leaf is my first exposure to Animal Crossing in general so I'm just going to list 2 games that I've played. But here's my best buddies listed:

New Leaf- Lolly of course, she became my favorite villager when I saw her design and personality. She's just plain adorable.
(I've deleted my old New Leaf town but worry not, she now lives on my New Horizons island.)
New Horizons- Lolly and Raymond. Lolly because she is still my bestest buddy since the ACNL days, I luckily reunite with her
during the mystery island tour. With Raymond, it's because I love his design and I love villagers with consistent themes in design.

City Folk: Friga. I didn’t play CF for long but I lovedddd her

NL: Pancetti and Beau! I was absolutely HEARTBROKEN when I logged in one day after a break and Beau had moved :-(

NH: Pashmina and Pancetti. Pancetti and I got reunited! She’s NEVER leaving haha
Pashmina was one of my starters and I just adore her.

She was my fav villager overall when I started my new GC town and she randomly moved in as one of the earliest villagers Halloween love, adorable and friendly, always been reliable and cool in my GC town and doesnt live too far from me

WW - Rosie
It’s been such a looooong time but as a kid it was Rosie. 100%. She‘s iconic. I don’t really feel this way anymore BUT until I start a new WW town this defaults to Rosie, I was obsessed with her. Because she’s so iconic I don’t feel like I have to explain lol but the cute anime look, pop colors, peppiness, being a cat etc. Not sure if she moved out or is still there sadly.

CF - Lolly
I didn’t really play CF at all, but I had her at the start of the game and she stood out to me. I didn’t really enjoy the game, dumped it very fast, but missed her since. Hoping to fit her in a new town in another game someday.

NL - Rudy
All my NL besties moved out years ago He was so cool and kinda funny, I remember sharing a lot of gifts with him and like Kiki he lived close to me.

NH - Bettina
Well, I had a few on NH honestly. First it was Leonardo who I was stunned to find, so underrated and cool and stuff- eventually it became Tammi who was my final dreamie and then Bettina who I also find very underrated and feel uniquely attached to. I don’t have Leonardo in my town anymore btw, but I still love all of these guys, island hunting on NH feels like it introduced me to a lot of villagers since I actually got to see them animated and walking around instead of just looking at pics (it also encouraged me to look at pics anyway because it was finally feasible to get them).

The only Villager I can remember having in GC was Cube, and I still really like him to this day!

I never owned Wild World or City Folk while they were new and haven't played either.

New Leaf was Julian for me, but mainly because he was the first Villager to move in to my town (randomly, I may add) and he was just so funny. He also never ditched me after over 8 years of playing that town. And some of my breaks were looooooong, but he was always there. He's the only one who is left from that early on.

New Horizons has given me so many new buds. It made me love Hazel and Paula soooo much on my first island, and then Boyd and Buck on my second one. But it also gave me June, who is just the sweetest and was the first Villager I found with a Nook Miles Ticket. It's really hard to choose who out of all of them would be #1!

New horizons was my first ac game, but I did hop backwards to check out a couple of older titles to play for a few months each. Those are the villagers that stuck out the most and I constantly talked to and watched.

My best bud in New Leaf was Shep. But in New Horizons I don't feel very close to any of my villagers. To be honest, I don't think the dialogue is as appealing to me. Most of the time I just skip through what they say anymore and don't even read it.

WW- Marina. It used to be Elmer, but he eventually moved out. It then became Bob but he moved out even though I thought I convinced him to stay. I’m still coping with the loss
NL- Hugh. This is kind of obvious since it’s in my title name
NH- My brother mostly plays but I think his is Hornsby

In WW, Buck and Roscoe, one of whom was an original villager I believe, and the other I just loved the appearance of. Also, Gwen and Ruby.

In NL, Cherry, because she kinda reminds me of my own dog.

My best bud from AC:NL was Chrissy. What a cutie, and I love bunnies! My new best buds from AC:NH are Cole. He is seriously so funny with all his bug comments. And Tabby is just seriously the cutest! I'm glad they got randomized into my island.

WW was Rhonda. She moved next to my house, and I just fell in love with her.
CF was Nan. I just loved her
NL was both Annalise and Celia. When I first restarted, I had Annalise. I absolutely bawled my eyes out because I didn't know I could get her in my new town (I wasn't on the forums yet). Celia was a starter in my new town, and I just immediately fell in love.
NH is probably Lyman. He was my first villager (Along with Flo) and I loved his design so much
