Just curious to see what sequels you like most! (trilogies are also fine)

I only have a few favorites:
The Suite Life On Deck
Toy Story 2
Kronk's New Groove
edit: High School Musical 2 and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam are also pretty good

Ok this was just an excuse to talk about my new found love for The Suite Life On Deck--is that okay?

Last edited:
John Wick 2, John Wick 3
Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines/Dark Fate (They really weren't as bad as people made them out to be.)
Blade Runner 2049
Captain America: Winter Soldier (I'm not even a Cap fan. One of the best Marvel movies I've seen.)
Thor: Ragnarok (Waaay better than the second movie.)

I have not watched Cheers, but it’s spinoff show Frasier is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. It’s regarded as one of the most successful spinoffs of all time. Some of the jokes didn’t age well, but for the most part it’s unique, charming, and absolutely hilarious. In my opinion, it’s the best 90s show, better than both Friends and Seinfeld (although I’m personally not a fan of Friends).

I love the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, but Two Towers may be my favorite out of the three because of the introduction of Gollum, the Ents, and Eowyn. Fellowship sets the stage, but Two Towers is where I feel a lot of the characters really begin to shine.

hannah montana: forever was just as good as the regular hannah montana. the vibes were a lil different but it was still good aha

The Suite Life on Deck! That was one of my favourite Disney Channel shows. I think the setting of that show when compared to the original Suite Life allowed for the characters to enter more diverse situations, as it could be explained away by the ship going to a new port or the ship getting new visitors or whatever, whereas the original Suite Life was more limited to exploring situations around school/home.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is better than the original Home Alone, for similar reasons as listed above. Kevin getting lost in New York just adds extra gravitas and drama to the story, plus I think there's more booby traps in the second movie than in the first.

Totally agree that Winter Soldier and Ragnarok were better than the initial movies.

The Empire Strikes Back- Even better than A New Hope.
The Godfather Part II-
Matched the intensity of the first.Great performance by Robert De Niro as the young Vito Corleone.
Star Trek II:The Wrath Of Khan-They flubbed the first one but then came out with the best Star Trek movie of all.
Aliens-Alien was dark and brooding.Aliens was action packed and exciting.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban-The first two Potter films were good but not great and generally aimed at a younger audience(naturally)but Azkaban was genuinely a movie for all ages.I wish Alfonso Cuarón could have directed more Potter movies, especially Goblet of Fire.

Your list is already amazing xD
Suite Life on Deck was a legendary show
I personally loved Rocky 2, not as much as Rocky of course, but dang it is a close second. I just love the series in general and yet I know by number 4 it got to be too much for some people, I still loved all of them c:
Home Alone 2, got to be a christmas film in here somewhere lol
Pokemon...just in general, but I did enjoy the second movie as I did all (haven't seen many recent movies.)

Good topic! For shows, I would have to say the best for me would be Star Wars the Clone Wars TV series (technically a sequel to the Clone Wars movie?). The writing is absolutely phenomenal. Every episode and every season is just so well written. The season 7 finale release recently was a perfect ending to the show. For movies... I would have to go with How to Train Your Dragon 2 and 3. 3 made me especially emotional. One of my favorite movie series probably.

Kung-fu Panda 2 was better than 1. I haven't seen the third one yet.

The first was good for world building and introducing the characters but I thought 2 was funnier and with a much better villain. I have to look up who the villain was in the first one all the time.

^^ YES i love kung fu panda lol. i think the first villain was called tai lung? anyway the storytelling and progression is amazing and it all feels so natural .
i used to like the second one the least until i rewatched all three back to back during my kfp marathon and i realized that it really ties the story together. it's my fave film franchise i think.

I’d like to add in 10 Cloverfield Lane even though it’s technically not a direct sequel to Cloverfield. I think, while it’s a totally different film in just about every way, that it’s a much better one than the other Cloverfield universe movies.
