Many people have migrated to Bluesky from X and such. I'm tired of chasing the new thing, but I do want to follow an artist. I didn't have much of a choice with tumblr, that was as annoying as it was funny.

Can we list pros and cons of bluesky vs twitter/X without mentioning the owner?

One bluesky con I've heard about is the preexisting userbase.

I've started using Bluesky as I couldn't log into Mastodon very well
I still use X for my followers, but I've got a Bluesky account now.

One thing I've found is random people seem to find my posts easier, I get a lot more likes on my stuff without actual followers

I haven’t used Bluesky yet. Maybe I should, but I can’t stop thinking it’s pronounced “blewski” like a “brewski” for some reason lol.

Part of it, is that I already feel spread thin on social media. I have an X/Twitter, Instagram, Threads, Facebook (which I rarely use), and this. It doesn’t sound like much, but I don’t know…I’m tired of signing up for things.

But yeah…it sounds to me like there are a LOT more active users on Bluesky than Threads, which means more engagement.

I've never used Twitter nor much social media, but I'm considering looking at this app.

It reminds me of Walter White's product in Breaking Bad. Which was called 'Blue Sky'.
