Actually, the Brawl shortage isn't linked to supply and demand... it's actually a real shortage. Nintendo just doesn't product enough units, and believe it or not, the real reason for the March 9th delay was production-related.

Is it truly THAT hard to copy a disk a couple thousand times?
OddCrazyMe said:Actually, yes. It takes a decent amount of time. I really don't think they meant for the delay to have... ulterior motives.Bulerias said:Actually, the Brawl shortage isn't ]

I read an interview recently with Iwata... apparently he was "saddened" that people actually thought the Wii shortage was fabricated.

Didn't you/someone else say that Brawl was delayed due to the release of No More Heroes and that it would be overshadowed by Brawl's epicness.
Kyle said:That may be me. And I said it was good for NMH, not that that was the reason.Bulerias said:Actually, the Brawl shortage isn't ]

By the way, the hype for Brawl in my grade is off the charts. So you can't say Canada has "gone casual". We're on par with the US in that category, IMO.
However, most Nintendo DS owners are casual.
Kyle said:Ok STORM, why weren't as much Wii systems produced because they knew the demand would be high. This holiday season, customers had even a somewhat harder time getting a Wii than last year, and was even in the head lines. In the news ads, someone sold a Wii for $550.
It sounds like Nintendo would not pull themselves out of positions for the 'thought of good karma' and be "the good guys and family company we are."

Well of course because it's already out in Japan. So they are spending all this time to make the game. =) Now if their plan was to have a shortage, they might as well release it now... but they need time to make it
See you guys! =O See! see

According to the media Wii Fit is going to be huge! But from the people who actually buy the games Brawl is going to be the big seller.yasuharu said:I think it's strange that people are arguing about Canada, while not bringing up one thing. It has the smallest population of the 3 North American countries. While I'm not going to guess about the popularity or availability of games in Mexico, you can't ignore the fact that it's population is around 3 times that of Canada's, and the US is about 10 times larger. That's right, no wiki for me...
Anyway, here in the US, I don't know a single person who is actually aware of Wii Fit.
However, everyone is talking about Brawl.

And Mexico won't buy a lot of video games because America has just about all of their citizens already.
