Bunny Day and April Fools

i highly doubt they’re removing the holidays; as far as i’m aware, the only game that didn’t have the main holidays (halloween, toy day, etc) was wild world.

I would be super surprised if they didn't have holidays. I'm interested to see how they will be implemented. Especially if we don't start off with a town plaza. But, I suppose Nook's area would act like the central hub spot for events and stuff like that. I didn't think of April Fools day and Bunny Day being right around the corner. 
I hope they are included as well, but maybe with different objectives so we’re not repeating the same events every game. Maybe April Fools can be something around us actually pranking the villagers with the help of Blanca instead of Blanca being the mastermind behind it. I also wouldn’t mind if older events are added but function as “normal days”. Even though the fishing tourney gets old after a while, I still enjoyed it and usually participate in it every time, but I didn’t like that we couldn’t do mayor-things during those days. Since we’re probably not mayors anymore (and now that we’re able to place furniture outside making PWPs obsolete), I would gladly welcome other little events like the flea market day if we’re able to enjoy the day doing other larger “important” tasks as well.

i imagine that they'll still be in game. i wonder if they'll be any different though? i'm not creative enough to think of how they could change up the holiday while still keeping the basics. either way i'll probably be fine with it because it's a holiday and holidays are fun!!

I agree. I think they should be earned. It makes it much more rewarding. I have no idea what they could do other than it. Was April Fools day always like this in the AC games it was in?
I've only played Wild World and New Leaf, and I don't remember it being in Wild World.

I love Bunny Day, but this just made me realize that we will be starting this game right before Cherry Blossom season....and now I'm even more excited.

This is what happened in City Folk:
"The player receives a furniture leaf, which resembles the furniture leaf which can be found on the ground outside in the town. It serves as a joke on the fact this leaf does not turn into furniture, but is an item of furniture itself."
Ooh! I didn't even think about it is almost time for cherry blossom season! That is really exciting! It is going to be so beautiful with the trees having many little blossoms instead of just pink leaves.
lmao zipper’s kinda creepy but the event of easter itself is pretty fun imo

I completely agree with what everyone is saying about the villager pics, it is much more rewarding to earn them by befriending them. They are meant to be a symbol of friendship, not guessing/cheating. Sometimes you have to basically cheat to get all the needed information from the villagers. Unless you are lucky enough for the villagers to give you some of the information,
For what it is worth though, I am glad April Fool's Day is more in-depth in New Leaf than in Game Cube or City Folk, and I do think it is cool that villagers have confirmed dream jobs, skills, siblings, etc. However, I certainly wouldn't mind a different approach to April Fool's Day.
As for Easter, I think a revelation of Zipper's identity is long overdue. Maybe we can find out by completing some "Egg Quest" or something of the like. ^^
