Within a few minutes, the people began flooding in.

"Here we go everyone!" Amelia calls out.

Jess the customers are everywhere I grab a pen and notebook and start taking orders

Ulrik unloads the last of the bread onto the last of the shelves, and rolls his shoulders once the weight of the basket has been lifted. He eyes the inpour of customers and says to himself as he walks back to the baking room, "Just in time."

Aurore eyed the patrons carefully as they entered the caf? at full steam. She had just completed a fresh batch of vanilla cream puffs a few minutes before, so she was grateful for her timing. I wonder what mint cream puffs would taste like... Her eyes glossed over the various customers as she wondered whether they would enjoy her prospective creation. Who wouldn't try mint cream puffs? Right?

Amelia opened a small door at the back of the cafe. Quietly, she makes her way up the narrow staircase. She smiles as her room comes into view.
"Ah..." Hey eyes glance towards her closet. She skips over to it, and opens it carefully. She pulls off her boots, and throws them into her closet. She then pulls out a pair of red ballet flats and slips them on. A smile covers Amelia's face as she lays on her bed. She was exhausted...

Ulrik clocks out at noon once he finishes preparing the rest of the bread and gathers yesterday's bread to be donated. He also writes a note, which he will leave for Amelia.

"Sorry the first day of your position hasn't gone over well. I'll be taking the bread I saved from yesterday to meals on wheels and will reappear for third shift. If you have any emergencies that require my assistance, my cell number should be in the old manager's files."

as im walking home i cant help but thnik to myself 1st day and i didnt talk to anyone! ok i talk to that red-hair lady but oi only talk to her!!! i sigh to myslef your rushing thing Roxy of couse you not going to make friends on the 1st day! i stop for a second to look around big buildings loud cars TONS of busy people
i just dont know if i can fit in

Amelia breathes in and out very slowly. It turns out she had fallen asleep! The stress of the day had gotten to her, and now she was upstairs in her room, sleeping.

Clocking out and going home to my shabby apartment, I go inside quickly finding my bed and falling on it asleep. That was a strange first day...

Aurore entered her shabby apartment and listened for her mother's slow snores. She smiled to herself at the familiar sound. Then, she opened the door to her bedroom and rested her books atop her nightstand. "Good night, Dad," she whispered to the picture beside her bed. "Tomorrow's another day of work. I'll try not to hide in the supply closet so much."

Ulrik returns to work for the night shift, keys swinging around his finger as he approaches the front door. He would eye the person knocking on it and say, "This is after business hours. Come back tomorrow." He'd then open the door and swiftly close and lock it behind himself.

"Wha-" Glancing at her clock, she sighs with releif. 2:46 Still lots of time to sleep. Her shoes were still on, and so was her dress from work. Feeling restless, Amy decides to take a walk.
