Campsite & progression

So today I got my first camper and it's Klaus (ugh). I hoped that I could invite any amiibo villager but apparently you can only do that once you've invited your first camper. Additionally it seems that if you want to invite an amiibo villager it's going to take several days to make them want to move in.

However I also need more villagers to progress in the game and work towards K.K. Slider coming to give a concert... So what do I do? Invite Klaus and deal with him until I can replace him (yuck), or wait for a new camper that could potentially suck again and slowing down my progress (also yuck).

Did anyone else run into the same issue??

Do you think it's better to prioritize game progression or is it going to be better to wait for a villager I like?

Sadly, you're stuck with your first camper until you kick them out or they decide to move out.

I'm not there yet (tomorrow I get my first camper), but my understanding is that you have to accept your first camper before oh can get any more, so you're kinda stuck with Klaus

Thanks for letting me know I searched around the internet and honestly there's a lot of misinformation going around the game so it's hard to decide on what's actually true or not. I'll just invite him then and eventually kick him with my amiibo cards. Thanks

Oh my gosh, I GOT KLAUS TOO! Hahaha! I liked his toga, at least. Maybe he'll grow on me the way Beardo did in my New Leaf town.

I personally just invited him in. I'm down to inviting whoever to my village because you never know who might actually grow on you and become charming.

Well yea his toga looks nice. I guess he could grow on me but first impression is bad at least LMAO
