Can someone explain this Mario Kart 8 license thing?

Ok, so I see a lot of people on here have the Mario Kart license things in there signatures, so I tried searching it up and made one, but I still don't really get how it works. So if you know how then could you please try to explain some things to me? Thanks.

It's just something to show off and share with other Mario Kart 8 players I believe. Nothing incredibly special outside of showing off your favorite things with the game.

On a small note, I would like to let you know your signature is a bit big. :X Best you adjust it before a mod gets to it no?
