can u cancel pre-ordered games?

sorry if i posted this in the wrong place

so basically, i pre-ordered the new story of seasons a while ago and i don't know if i want it anymore because it's so much money and it's too similar to previous farming games i've bought
it doesn't release until march 26th and that's quite a while away so i was wondering if it was possible to cancel it and get my money back

i've never cancelled a pre-order before so idk if u can actually do that

Where did you pre-order it from? You should have an email with more info on their policies regarding cancellation but as long as payment hasn’t already been taken you should be able to cancel it

i pre-ordered a digital copy on the eshop, sorry i forgot to mention that part

but idk when the payment takes place, i was assuming it's when the game has released or maybe a week before

I’m glad you got an answer. I agree with you on the new Story of Seasons. I’m tempted to get it at around launch but the newer games haven’t been holding my interest like the older games did so I’m going to wait on it. I’ll probably get Rune Factory 5 instead personally.

same, after looking into the game, i think my problem with it is just the price
it looks fun but the graphics are pretty basic for the price of £50

plus i got story of seasons: friends of mineral town last year but unfortunately i didn't enjoy it, so i don't want to get the newer one to find out i'm not a fan of that either

Rune Factory is a spin off that is basically like Story of Seasons meets rpg. So there’s a story and combat but there’s also the laid back farming and marriage aspects from SOS. I like that I can chill and farm when I want and when I want more action I can jump into combat depending on what I feel like.
