I rock back and forth, in a tight ball. After a few minutes, the hallucinations fade, and I look up, tears on my face. "I'm sorry...it's..a disorder I have. I hallucinate sometimes." I sign hurriedly.
"Why are you apologizing? We're not mad at you. It's not something you can stop, at least right now." I reassure her, smiling. I offer my hand to help her up.
"I have an idea," I say, putting the cloth down. I then walk outside, to the forest area, and snap off one of the thinner branches of a tree. On the way back to the shelter, I use one of the daggers strapped to my belt to smooth off the branch and chop off any knots that stick out. Once I get back, I grab the broken broom from the cupboard, yank out the broken handle, and try to put the end of the branch in the hole. It doesn't quite fit, so I shave off a little of the wood at the bottom, until it fits on tightly.
"Turns out this place is an ancient church." I say, looking around. My footsteps echo.
"They seemed to worship strange Gods..." I read through the book again.
I nod slowly, and turn around. "They are very scratched and worn, but they say, 'When the fire came, all was lost, but we were reborn in the ashes.'" I sign quickly.
"Zzzzz"
"Aw man, I must have dozed off.." I'm in a small bedroom, with seven small beds squeezed into the room. I rub my head, "This headache is killing me..wheres Megumi?" My eyes wander to a small door hidden between the large end table.. "Huh..whats with this door?" I lightly move the end table, its very light. The door is dusty like all the things in this house. I pull the rope next to it revealing a small basement. I take the lantern on the ground and go into the dark place. "So much for adventuring."
