What is your opinion on this uncivil act? Do you think it?s right to chase out politicians and columnists that disagree with you politically from restaurants or other places, or do you think they should enjoy their time peacefully despite who they are? This may not be new, but it started to occur more frequently more recently (like within the last two month).

In my opinion, this is a new low in people. I can understand the frustration in people and how they hate our government, but this is too extreme (as well as many other acts of incivility towards other Republicans and their supporters). If you don?t like someone, vote them out.

fascists and fascist enablers in governmental power shouldn't be allowed a single second of peace so long as they're actively trying to (and in some cases are) ruin the lives of others

plus frankly, they're so insulated from any negative effects of what they do. with elections being about the only possible thing (but lol to that too, with the republicans having always been the "cheat to win" party for as long as I've been alive), that if making them feel embarrassed to go out in public is what it takes, then so be it

frankly, they deserve far worse than being chased out of restaurants

I wouldn't chase people out if it was my restaurant, but at the end of the day, people can run their establishments how they want to.

Honestly, the only reason to chase someone out of a restaurant is if they're causing problems for the restaurant or the other customers. If someone is sitting there quietly eating their dinner and pays for it at the end, I don't see how their politics matters.

If they are being disturbing and causing trouble then yes and your opinion doesn't matter if such. I mean learn to behave.

Also yeah I agree with LambdaDelta if anything as well.

Just letting you know, the issue the thread is about is more about if it’s okay for other customers to chase out public officials, not the employees or manager. Like how liberals are doing it.

I agree it's rude, and I personally wouldn't do it.

but, the sitting President of the US and his supporters have championed rude uncivil behavior, disgracefully so, and in light of that I just don't see how they or their supporters have room to complain. it's embarrassing and unprecedented really, that our sitting president calls people "horseface" on twitter and engages in other petulant, childish, bullying behavior; what did he expect would happen?

also, "voting somebody out," isn't always available. for example, the people of South Carolina, Utah, and Kentucky keep re-electing the same horrible people to the U.S. Senate, who subject the rest of the country to their backwards, treasonous, and dishonest schemes, so it's not like regular citizens can control the U.S. senate for instance.

If extremists or however you'd put it here would start going into bars and stuff being rude they'd be kicked out regardless so yeah it's more of behaviour in general imo.

But yeah Trump people shouldn't really be allowed anywhere so :^^^)

to be honest? it sounds a bit immature but it is their choice and i doubt that big politicians have being denied mcdonalds chicken nuggies as their main priority when there's so many scandals going on in the modern world. it seems pretty stupid though with the risk of being arrested to let out some anger at the orange one

Nobody is chasing them out, they're just confronted with thr hate they created by screwing over the working class. If restaurant owner can kick people out for being rude, surely try can kick them out for makin their worker's life miserable in another way. I know that republican supporters (aka people who don't care about politics yet hate "the liberals") love playing the victim card, but this isn't a new situation or a situation that only happens to one side. Politicians are faced with a lot of anger, most can take responsibility and face it with grace. Can we please stop treating certain politicians like litle kids just because they can't show empathy? It's such a weird behavior to begin with. Rich people making laws aren't victims.

I disagree with disrupting someone at a restaurant, regardless if you agree with their politics or not. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I totally agree with you and it is quite honestly my opinion on this matter. I think it is quite immature and rude to not give people a peaceful dining experience regardless of how you view them. Chasing a politician out because of their political beliefs is the same as kicking people out because of their religion, race, or sexual preferences (like a gay couple) which is utterly ridiculous and uncivil. The only people that should be kicked out of a restaurant are people who are causing physical harm to others at the restaurant and people who are being ridiculously inconsiderate to other customers or restaurant staff. I really feel like all free societies in the world would be better off if people were more considerate and civil/respectful to others.

Yeah, I wouldn’t disrupt someone while they’re eating, regardless of what you think of them. It’s just not right.

I wouldn't kick out anyone from a restaurant unless they themselves are being loud and reckless or are vandalizing. Regardless of whether or not I oppose their political views.

Sigh at some of the replies here.

If they aren't affecting me at that moment, why would/should I care.

As far as I am concerned, it is probably just a bunch of hot-rod millennials doing it anyway because they have nothing better to do with their time.

Or maybe, the “fascists” aren’t really fascists at all, and those being “hurt” by the government are the ones making outlandish demands. How is it “fascist” to support free speech, the free market system, and tax cuts while opposing terrorism, violence, and discrimination based on political beliefs? I believe that everyone, Democrat or Republican, should enjoy their lives peacefully, no matter what they do in Congress. The only evil I see is the liberal mobs that’s bullying, intimidating, harassing, or threatening Republicans and Republican voters.

As for what I think about disrespectful customers, I agree they shouldn’t have service. If they can’t respect other customers or employees, they shouldn’t get service at the restaurant.

Just a reminder that we don't allow rude behavior towards other users. If you can't state your opinions in a dignified manner, it would be best if you refrain from posting in threads like this.

That's why I say its not a good idea having these kind of threads open on belltree.
