Christmas Trees?

So I've seen some people who have done winter houses and the cedars they planted were Christmas trees, now is that for all plots with winter season, or is it exclusive to only some plots? I haven't made any snowy houses yet but I will if I get Christmas trees!
(I'm talking about how they get the lights on them...)

Like you, I haven't done any houses in snowy area yet. But I am assuming you'll just have to plant a Cedar tree into a snowy area to get a "Christmas tree". Because I noticed when I was decourating a villager's house to an area with pink petals will blowing around, the Oak tree leaves turned to pink.

I hope that's the case! I had Erik hanging around my town so hopefully he'll come back cause his cabin would look nice in the snow!

I have made snowy scenes but never got a christmas tree. I'm thinking you might have to plant a couple or more of them because if you think about new leaf at that time of year only SOME of the ceder trees get lights on them, not all of them? Just my theory lol not sure though ;D

It's a special type of tree that you have to unlock. Regular cedar trees just get covered in snow.

I was just about to post that lol I wish I can tell you which villager. But I was too busy decourating, I didn't even noticed that I have unlocked that tree.

You have to unlock it. I got mine from Curlos. You can use them in any season, but they have to be outdoors.

I got mine from Bunnie, and I don't know if Daisy unlocks them to given that she wants a xmas themes house too.
