i'm still getting used to the tablet, so probably no art for a while, but practicing w/ tracing has really been helping

I think these are really adorable, your style is really cool and I think you should definitely develop it! I think the minimalist thing really works well. It's nice to see you trying out different poses and expressions because that's what I was going to suggest after seeing the main post! Can't wait to see how you continue on your art adventure!

oops took a lil break- reviving the thread today!

a pen pal of mine sent me a sketchbook in the mail (i'm so shy drawing in it though omg i'm really not that good yet), and i drew the title page today, w/ a little doodle of me and my contact info (which i'm... not... including...)

also um shhh but when i cleaned up my first post and added newer art, i got rid of the first four pieces i posted here and then immediately regretted it lol

reviving this thread! march was a rough month, and april is rough too but i feel guilty for not posting still- here is an ugly doodle i drew in bio when i was supposed to be watching a nature documentary

i'm getting destroyed these next two weeks w tests and finals (i don't know why i'm posting here rn omg, i have a macroeconomics final tomorrow), but right after that is prom, so i just need to survive until then!

I seriously adore your art!! It reminds me of really cute illustrations you'd find on the covers of novel or something similar :D
Also it looks kinda minimalist/modern to me? Like you keep it fairly simple in the best way possible ♥

i'm in that meh phase where nothing i draw comes out looking quite right, but taking breaks doesn't help and overall i just feel like my art isn't improving at all ;;;; but anyway here is something passable from a while back that i can show the public:

what do you guys suggest i do? what do you guys do when you feel like you've gotten stuck with your art and you don't know what's wrong but nothing's really right so you don't know how to improve? nowadays all the faces i try to draw look kind of dumb :')
