in New leaf the idea of villagers based on characters from other games or franchises was introduced with the welcome amiibo update.

Do you think Nintendo will collaborate with any other companies in new horizons? if so what ideas do you have for these collaborations?

I would love another addition to the sanrio characters we already have! A cat aggretsuko, a frog gudetama, or a deer kuromi would be awesome. Or maybe a vocaloid collab! Squirrels rin and len would be really cute

I definitely wouldn't say no to more collaborations, as I find the idea behind it pretty cool actually. I could imagine with maybe other Nintendo franchises like Pokemon or Super Mario for example. Otherwise, I would welcome a Kuromi based villager, as I always liked Kuromi more than My Melody tbh.

It's already expensive enough with the current amiibo cards and figures. Not to mention the absurd Sanrio prices if you don't buy fan made cards.

I am dying for a large catalog of Pokemon items. If we got this I would have an entire room of Pokemon stuff and call it the Pokecenter. No question, Pokemon items are highly desirable in a mainline game.

Agreed, the Sanrio cards are absurdly expensive for genuine ones. Don't think I haven't thought about buying Toby, though. You could get them cheaper back in the day but if you missed the boat, it stinks. I didn't care at the time but Toby's design really grew on me and now I really wish I had him in my town. I'm hoping for a re-release of these at some point so i can acquire them cheaper.

i would like to see some more pokemon and mario themed stuff. Currently i have a makeshift outfit in new leaf for peach with her parasol but i would love to get ehr actual shoes and dress and not just use a qr code and ballet slippers

Gudetama should be on New Horizons. And also Agresuko the racoon (spelling?) too. Both of them should have themed villagers, furniture and clothing.

Absolutely! I am thinking more along Sanrio and maybe then some.
Maybe more Nintendo IPs and single character related things like Miffy?

I believe they will although, I don't think it will be exclusively an Amiibo feature though.

They'll probably have:

✧︎Events and those will be themed on different things like upcoming games/anime/seasonal
✧︎Gachas in the form of fortune cookies and rare items that can be bought from Redd/Timmy & Tommy
✧︎Free and paid for DL content that can be obtained with Bells/real money/points/coupons etc but from all shops

The items will probably be things like: Wigs, accessories, eye shapes, hairstyles, skins, clothes, new furniture and they'll probably be limited etc... I don't want things to be crazy expensive though!

I like themed items and rare items - just hoping we have a better way to obtain the 'Sloppy Series' _:・(? ཀ`」 ∠︎):_

I love this!!! I'm hoping that they add a lot of free and paid DLC to increase the amount of items and such like they did with Dragon quest builders 2. Only I hope that they have more than just a few since DQB2 didn't have many. And I personally love the themed fortune cookies so I hope they carry over into new horizons. Not for actual money of course but like in New leaf where timmy/Tommy sold them in their store! It would be fun to see what types of cookies were for sale that day.
