How's it going? 2019 has been a rough year. Your health has declined, you're still grieving, and the world is a scary place right now. I hope things have improved. I hope you've managed to regain some of your independence that your disabilities have taken away.

Perhaps by now you've found your purpose in life. If not, it's okay - there's still time! Have you been able to travel? Are you still keeping up with learning Korean and studying other interesting things, whatever they may be?

Whatever is happening, keep smiling and stay optimistic. There's always hope. Be kind to yourself.

Dear Future Me,

How’s life in your mid twenties? You should’ve been out of Uni for a good couple of years now so I hope you’re happy and doing well in whatever profession you’re in now! I still don’t know what that will be so fingers crossed it’s something good.

I hope you’re healthy and happy in yourself. I’ve not been feeling my funky flow recently so I hope you’ve got that back now. I hope you’ve grown as a person mentally/emotionally but also physically. If you’re not going to the gym, get your ass there right now!

You’ve got some good pals on this forum so even if you’re not as active here I hope you’re still talking to them. I just saw Jacobs capsule post and I also hope you’re not still obsessed with collectibles. Go have a look at his post cause it’s got some hoop tips there.

Dear Future Me,

If you're still around and are reading this right now, hello!

Have you changed your name yet? Are your works published? Are you living true to yourself, the way you know in your heart that you should be? Have you accomplished these dreams I laid out all these years ago, or at least made progress toward them? I hope for both our sakes that you have, or you should consider yourself lucky that I'm stuck back here in the last days of 2019 because I'd be giving you a real earful.

From where I stand back here, the future looks sort of grim for both you and the world, so I hope that you and yours are doing well. Oh, and knowing how I am, maybe you need some encouragement. Be brave, don't let your fears and worries overwhelm you. Be the you that I know you can be, and don't let anyone else stand in the way of your self-actualization.

Maybe certain things didn't work out the way 2019 me hopes they would've. That's unfortunate if so, but it's okay, and if you need it and I could, I'd give you a hug. The important thing, I think, is that you at least put forth the effort to make it happen.

That's about all I can think to say right now. If they're around, go give my friends a hug on behalf of your 2019 self.

Dear Future Me,

Hopefully you’re still part of the TBT community in 2024! This year you’ve been pretty inactive, but that’s because a lot has been going on in your life. The biggest part of 2019 was finally moving back home to Florida and getting an apartment here. Another huge part was adopting Mojo <3 He is almost 6 months old now and he has grown so much! He’s actually running around with his birthday bear as I type this, bumping into my feet lol such a cutie. <3
This year has had a lot of ups and downs. Hopefully in the next few years I’m more financially stable, as well as healthier physically and mentally.
As of right now, ACNH is just a few more months away. I wonder if I’ll still be playing it when I read this again?? Or maybe the next installment in the series will have already released? Doubtful but a girl can dream lmao. ;>
I hope this letter brought back some memories of 2019 and inspired you to keep moving forward and achieve everything you hope to do <3

I'm gonna be quite surprised if you're reading this in 2024. Not like it is a bad thing to be reading this letter that I made for you. :T Just assumed that you'll be too busy or whatnot to be on The Bell Tree Forums. Or maybe you just have too much free time on your hands.

There's a lot of things that I would like to ask you; however, I don't think I am capable of asking you in this letter. Since you know me better than anyone else then I am pretty sure you know the many things that I wanted to ask you while I was making this letter to you. I guess... I'd like you to answer them on a piece of paper for me by then. That is if you remember the things that I wanted to ask of you.

it's isabelle and digby's birthday today!! also the winter solstice so the town is super pretty <3

recently i've been learning how to drive and it's kinda hard but my favourite part is flicking on the turn signal (click click). also i've been watching Run With the Wind instead of studying for 131 removals so, future me i am very sorry.

i hope you're still playing floorball, wherever you might have gone in life. did you ever get back into writing? also did we ever reach my current goals (financially stable housewife/dog mom hehe 1/2 jk)? it's alright if you didn't. i don't mind as long as you're happy!

Dear Future Me,

Right now, I am writing this in December 2019. At this stage of the year, you have finished your year at uni and working at one of your (presumably) old jobs. You?ve done okay for yourself this year; you got satisfactory grades in uni and are slowly but surely progressing yourself towards graduation.

Speaking of uni, did you make it out in the end? Right now, the fact that I need work experience is in the back of my mind and I?m not looking forward to it. Did you get it in the end? I?m sure you did. How?s the industry going? Hopefully you?re handling it well.

How?s the family? Has your brother grown into an adult yet? What about our parents? And dare I say, how are our grandparents? I hope you still visit all of them, especially your grandparents as I can tell already that they don?t have much time left in this world. Neither do our dogs, for that matter. Did our parents get new dogs? I?m sure they will despite saying they won?t.

How?s your friends? Are you still in touch with your HS friends? Each year I feel we?re slowly drifting, so I can only hope that you have retained some contacts. What about your online friends? I think we?ll still be on here?but only time can tell.

How was ACNH by the way? Did it go as anticipated? I have high hopes at the moment, so I?m sure it did!

I know there?s going to be a lot of challenges coming for me in the upcoming years, but please, try to face them headstrong. Don?t let your fears, anxiety or anything get in your way anymore.

This year's been odd, like it never gained momentum and now it's almost over, it's very strange.
Not a bad year, just odd. you got re acquainted with an old friend, we'll see how that goes in time, I hope you were helpful when she needed it, I hope you've gotten over your trepidation about that by now and your worries were unfounded.
You weren't able to get as much done this year as you hoped, that's ok, everything went as it should be.
I'm on the fence on whether or not you'll ever see this again, one one hand, you like it here at bell tree, you get to try to be a blessing is a small pixelated way, they community is reasonably sane.... and the other hand, you'd really think I'd something more important to spend time on by now. you're almost 30 by now, you loser. you have chickens to tend!

Hopefully, this next year, you'll have your business going, and start becoming more mature. Hopefully this venture will succeed
Do you have a car yet? Do you have a relationship? What's that like? Is it weird? I can't fathom having one but five years is a fair amount of time.
How's our brother? I think he'll be ok.
Life is sometimes hard. Life is even harder even you keep fighting things that you just need to move past. you might not be able to climb the wall but perhaps can follow a different way around it. Just keep doing what is right and everything will fall into place. Trust God, nothing happens without His notice or permission, He cares for you, He put you here for reasons you might never know.
sometimes life is just rough and some days are just tough, things just stink and you think that you're not good enough, and people upset you or sometimes forget you, your heart shrinks and you think it's a day you can't get through; but this is the day the Lord has made, you're special to him, you'll be ok, tomorrow will dawn and he'll love you still, things will get better, I promise they will.
When your day's been a mess and you feel it intensely, don't forget who you are and just who loves you immensely. God made you his child and you're treasured as such, you're precious, you're cherished, he loves you so much. this is the day the Lord hath made, you're special to him, you'll be ok, tomorrow will dawn and he'll love you still, things will get better, I promise they will.

Try not to panic, you can't solve everything anyway. Don't be bitter, don't be petty, don't have a bad attitude, don't whine, don't despair and have a little hope.

Currently, I'm waiting desperately for New Horizons to release, but it will be out for nearly 5 years when this letter resurfaces. Are you still playing it and are on TBT? I hope you can still enjoy NH after all these years or found another game to enjoy. Did Nintendo release a new console yet or are they still releasing revisions of the Switch? Only time will tell I guess.

Animal Crossing New Horizons hype! I hope the new game is as much fun as Wild World and New Leaf were to me, and I hope you don't go crazy with hoarding stuff and you actually make a decent looking town for once... Regarding TBT, I hope you finally find the courage to move on and try to find new friends from New Horizons, and I hope that you finally push yourself back into the AC community on here and on other sites as well. I know you probably will have disappeared off this site and you might not even read this letter when the time capsule opens back up, but I hope that if you do, you'll have made better memories on this site and have new friends to share those memories with!
