Concerns...

My biggest concern is that it’ll be just a New Leaf port or it won’t be any different than new leaf. That and they will take pwps out completely. I’m hoping I’m wrong.

I don't think they would take out PWP. But I'm also affraid they don't put much effort into this title : I want great graphics and an expanded, non dumbed down (childish) Animal Crossing.

woah ok are people actually being rude to each other over this thread lmao thats p lame
im confused about pattern sharing.. i rly dont want that to be an online service for many reasons, but i know theres not many other ways to implement it, lol
plus nintendo switch online, people are gonna be pissed if u cant get access to patterns or play online with friends or whatever. i just know ppl will be mad lmao
thats p much it but im just mostly afraid of it being too much like new leaf, bc im pretty bored of new leaf :<

I may be remembering this wrong but isn't the Smash specific phone app stated to be free? That could mean that an AC phone app for sharing patterns may be free as well. I know that not everything online related has to be connected to Nintendo Switch Online, so that's a possibility depending on how Nintendo wants to swing it.

I hope they go all out with the switch version
Imo if you play city folk for a bit, new leaf feels a bit mehh

It'll look amazing though, take a look at Mario kart.. I play on a gaming monitor and it looks amazing

Really? NL is leaps and bounds ahead of City Folk.

Too much hand holding. Scaled back difficulty.

And why is that a big deal? I like what Pokemon is now. We didn?t have many instructions back then because of the data limitations. I just don?t get why that?s a valid reason to not like Pok?mon.

I don't think they will remove it. The option to change the time in the game was always a feature,
and I guess if you could only change the time by going to the consoles set up and change it there,
it would be too annoying after a while (not only if you want to do time traveling, but also if you want
to set up the right time in general). So I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't think they *can* remove it. Time travelling is done by the system, no?

I have seen people in the Pocket Camp board complaining about the amount of Leaf Ticket items that are being introduced lately, which to my knowledge are basically microtransactions. I'm really hoping that Nintendo does not try to introduce microtransactions in the next main series release. This is one of the reasons why I am so apprehensive about any kind of integration with Pocket Camp. At first it would probably just be a few cosmetic options, but I wouldn't put it past them to gradually progress to a point where substantial features are locked behind a paywall.

It may sound a little hyperbolic, but Nintendo is a business and these kinds of tactics have been shown to work for other companies. Why wouldn't they want to make as much money as possible?

Well I WAS going to give everyone in the community a break from me screaming about this until I'm blue in the face, but since this is a thread for concerns....no more grass deterioration. I get that some people like it and it's all "realistic" and such, but it's a temporary game breaking glitch.

Not everyone likes to time travel to restore their grass but if a person's town is deserted, then there will be no snowballs at all in the winter...meaning without time traveling you can't build snowmen or hunt dung beetles until the grass grows back enough. And since Animal Crossing is a game that encourages you to play every day, this is a feature is counter-productive to that encouragement.

I know it's extremely minor of a complaint, but it's big enough that it COULD be a potential deal breaker for me if they won't get rid of it altogether. It's also the reason why I almost never play New Leaf anymore.

It's not a deal breaker for me, but I do agree with you. The grass wear feels like it forces me to cover the entire ground with either paths or flowers. I'd rather see the regular grass. The original Japanese title is Animal FOREST after all. The word forest makes me think of lots of green everywhere.

I hope they don't make the game over reliant on DLC, that would be a total bummer. I also hope they don't make any drastic changes to the overall aesthetic of the game.

Nintendo can't ignore every request or idea. If they did, people may stop playing AC.

I will say this now. IF we can't choose our skin tone, it's a deal breaker for me.

Yeah it never stood out to me at first because I personally have white skin and I don't know many people with other skin tones so I guess it just didn't come to mind. But not being able to change that through character customization is defenitely a bit weird!

I do hope that they will still let you get a tan though
